Week 9 Draftkings Cash Game Breakdown

Week 9 DraftKings Cash Game Breakdown

Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.

I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.

QB

Jalen Hurts $8,000

Hurts has been as safe a playbas you can find. He’s averaging 25 DraftKings points per game. Since week 4 he’s averaged 300 passing yards per game. This game has the highest total on the slate and the Eagles have the highest implied team total on the slate. On a slate with so many terrible QB options, paying upbfor Hurts might be the best bet.

Dak Prescott $6,500

The Eagles have been terrible against the pass. They’ve allowed 6th most passing yards per game and the 3rd most TD passes per game. Dak has played well against the Eagles averaging 293 yards in their last three matchups. As I said with Hurts this QB slate is awful and Dak provides a lot at a very affordable salary.

Derek Carr $5,700

Carr has thrown for over 300 yards in three straight games averaging 321 yards over that span. The Saints have the 2nd highest implied team total and the Bears have allowed the 2nd most passing yards and TDs this season. I don’t know if I want to play Kamara and Carr in the same lineup but it’s doable with how much work Kamara gets in the passing game.

RB

Alvin Kamara $8,100

Fantasy football

Kamara has been getting a ridiculous workload. He’s averaging 18.75 carries, 6.5 catches and 116 yards from scrimmage over his last four games. He has the 3rd most carries and most targets and carries among RBs over that span. Chicago has allowed the 3rd most receptions and most receiving yards to opposing RBs this season.

Saquon Barkley $7,900

We look for volume in Cash and Saquon is at full volume. In Barkley’s last three games he has carry totals of 24, 21 and 36. He also has at least three catches in all three games. Over that span he has 25 more carries and 65 more rushing yards than any other RB. He is essentially the Giants entire offense. Vegas has allowed the 2nd most rushing yards and Gibbs just went crazy on them Monday night.

Josh Jacobs $6,900

Jacobs is averaging 20 touches per game. When O’Connell played in Week 4, Jacobs had 11 targets that resulted in eight catches and 81 yards. The Giants have allowed 4.7 yards per carry and the 4th most rushing yards to opposing RBs.

Chuba Hubbard $5,000

Look Hubbard is absolutely in play. He’s looked good and got all the work. I do have concerns that Sanders was still a little hurt last week and could get more work this week. At this price, Hubbard is still absolutely in play in Cash but I’d caution going there in GPPs.

Devin Singletary $4,300

Singletary was already splitting time with Pierce and Pierce has not been practicing and will likely miss this game. Singletary may not have huge upside but 15+ carries at this salary is a dream Cash combo.

WR

AJ Brown $8,600

I guess Brown is just guaranteed 125+ yards now? Six straight games over that number. Averaging 8.1 catches, 138.5 yards and 11 targets in those games. He’s pretty good.

Adam Thielen $7,500

Thielen has the 2nd most receptions per game. He has a 28% target share and has been targeted on 26% of his routes. Those numbers are with only two catches and 12 yards in Week 1. Since Week 2 he’s averaging 11.2 targets, 9.2 receptions and 94 yards. Over the last four weeks the Colts have allowed 16.3 yards per reception.

Zay Flowers $5,700

Flowers is a viable Cash option every week. Partially due to the fact that his salary never changes and also due to his 27% target share. He doesn’t offer much upside but the floor is more than viable on an ugly slate especially considering the Ravens are tied with the highest implied team total on the slate.

Terry McLaurin $5,600

McLaurin has double digit targets in two of his last three games with no less than nine in any of them. Sam Howell is throwing the ball a ton and Curtis Samuel will likely miss this game. Great news for McLaurin to increase his already healthy 24% target share.

Demario Douglas $4,000

Douglas has at least six targets and four receptions in back to back games. His target share will certainly increase with Kendrick Bourne being out for the year. Washington has allowed the most yards and TDs to opposing WRs this season.

TE

David Njoku $3,800

I honestly think this is the first time I’ve ever written up Njoku outside of Showdown. TE is a disaster and NJoku has a 27% target share over the last two weeks with PJ Walker.

Logan Thomas $3,500

At least four catches in three of his last four games with at least six catches in two of them. He has a 17% target share and could see more looks if Curtis Samuel doesn’t play.

Daniel Bellinger $2,500

Look its a complete punt but most TEs are anyways. With Waller out Bellinger will see plenty of work. It’s worth a shot in Cash.

DEF

NE $2,900

NYG $2,300
