Week 8 Draftkings Cash Game Breakdown
Week 8 Draftkings Cash Game Breakdown
Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
QB
Jalen Hurts $8,200
Hurts has a tremendous floor due to his rushing. He has rushing attempts and designed runs(50!!!) among QBs. If they get inside the 5 yard line it’s basically a guaranteed TD for him. And we haven’t even talked about his passing. He’s thrown for the 7th most yards in the league. He
CJ Stroud $6,300
I will personally either be paying up at QB but wanted to provide a mid range option. Stroud has thrown multiple TDs in 4/6 games. He’s also only thrown one interception. He’s averaging 276 yards per game which is 4th most in the league.
RB
Alvin Kamara $7,300
Kamara has averaged 24 touches over his last four games. He’s averaged 8.75 receptions and has the 2nd most receptions in the league over that span. The receiving provides a great floor. The Colts are bottom five in points allowed to opposing RBs this season.
Travis Etienne $7,200
Etienne has played 80% of snaps and has 82% of the RB touches so far this season. Over the last five games Etienne has averaged 194 carries and has at least three catches in each of them. He’s also scored six TDs over that span. The Steelers have allowed the 5th most yards per carry this year.
Isiah Pacheco $6,100
Pacheco has averaged 16 carries over bis last five games. He’s been involved in the receiving game as well. He has at least four catches in each of his last two games and thre catches in three of his last four. Denver has allowed the rushing yards, most yards per carry and the 2nd most receptions and receiving yards to opposing RBs this season.
Breece Hall $5,900
Hall is too cheap. He has seen his snap and touch share increase in each of the last two games. He had 25 and 17 touches in those two games. Hall should be fresh coming out of the bye week. The Giants allow over five yards a carry and Breece averages a ridiculous 6.5 yards per carry.
WR
JaMarr Chase $8,100
The salary is probably still a little low considering Chase’s usage and upside. He’s had no less than eight targets in any game. He has target totals of 13, 19, 9 and 15 in his last four games. He leads the league in targets per game and has a 33% target share. Over their last two games the 49ers have allowed the 2nd mostly yards to opposing WRs.
Adam Thielen $6,600
Target totals of 13, 13, 8, 14 and 9 in his last five games. He’s scored a TD in four of those five games. He has a 30% target share over that span and has the 2nd most receptions.
Christian Kirk $5,900
Kirk has basically become the WR1 for the Jags. He leads the team in targets yards and receiving TDs. He only had one catch in Week 1 but since then he has a 24% target share 25% targets per routes run and 2.2 yards per rout run. The Steelers are bottom six in yards allowed and bottom five in yards per reception to opposing WRs. They’ve also allowed the most points to opposing slot WRs where Kirk does most of his damage.
Zay Flowers $5,600
Flowers salary is too low. He leads the team in targets and receptions by a healthy margin. He has a 27% target share and is being targeted on 24% of his routes run. Arizona is bottom three in points allowed to opposing WRs and is allowing 13.2 yards per reception.
Diontae Johnson $5,000
Johnson came back from injury and immediately had six targets and five receptions. He only played 66% of snaps but looked healthy and should see more playing time. The Jaguars are bottom eight in both receptions and yards allowed to opposing WRs.
Kendrick Bourne $4,700
Bourne has averaged eight receptions over the last two weeks. He has a 30% target share in those games. He has at least five targets in all but one game. Bourne has an impressive 26% target per routes run on the season. As 10 point underdogs on Miami the Pats will have to throw a lot.
TE
Jake Ferguson $3,600
Ferguson may not have a huge ceiling but thats what not we’re worried about. He is more than viable for Cash. He has a 15% target share and has been targeted on 22% of his routes run which is the same as Ceedee Lamb. Ferguson should see an increase in TDs at some point considering he’s tied for the most redzone targets among TEs.
Trey McBride $2,800
McBride has back to back games with at least five targets and has been targeted on 26% of his routes run which is highest on the team. Now with Ertz out he’s gonna see a significant uptick in usage. Ertz was seeing six targets per game.
DEF
ATL $2,900
JAX $2,800
