Week 5 DraftKings Cash Game Breakdown
Week 5 DraftKings Cash Game Breakdown
Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
QB
Patrick Mahomes $8,200
Mahomes hasn’t had a vintage Mahomes blowup game but is still tied for 3rd most passing TDs this season. He’s added a lot in the rushing department running for 154 yards which is 3rd most among QBs. This game is in a dome with a 52.5 point total.
Anthony Richardson $7,000
Richardson is averaging 23.4 DraftKings points per game. Despite missing a week and a half he has the most rushing TDs among QBs and is tied for the 3rd most design runs. He’s averaging 5.7 yards per carry. The Titans are allowing 7.8 yards per pass attempt which is bottom six in the league.
CJ Stroud $6,000
Stroud has thrown for the 4th most yards this season and has thrown multiple TDs in three straight games. Maybe more impressive is the fact that he hasn’t thrown an interception yet. He has the 3rd most pass attempts in the league. That many opportunities at this price make him a great Cash play.
RB
Bijan Robinson $7,700
Bijan is averaging 18 touches per game. He’s tied for the 3rd most targets and has the most receptions among RBs. He’s averaging six yards per carry. Houston has allowed the most rushing TDs to opposing RBs this season.
David Montgomery $6,600
Montgomery has an elite workload averaging 23 carries per game. He has the 4th most carries, 2nd most rushing TDs and 2nd most attempts inside the ten yard line despite missing a game. Carolina has allowed the 4th most points to opposing RBs.
Kyren Williams $6,700
Kyren’s workload is ridiculous. He’s played the most snaps and ran the most routes by RBs by a wide margin. He has the 3rd most targets among RBs. He has the most rushing attempts inside of the 10 yard line.
Joe Mixon $6,400
Mixon has averaged 17 touches so far this season. Arizona has allowed the 4th most receptions to opposing RBs. They’ve also allowed eight total TDs to RBs. With Burrow less than 100% and how bad the Cardinals are defending the run, Mixon should see a ton of work.
WR
JaMarr Chase $7,900
Chase has a 28% target share and 26% targets per routes run and those will only increase with Higgins out. Arizona is tied for the 4th most yards per reception allowed this season.
Puka Nacua $7,700
Puka leads the league in targets and receptions so far this season. He has a 33% target share, 32% targets per routes run and 3.1 yards per target all of which are top five in the league. If Kupp is in I may go elsewhere but otherwise Puka is probably a cash lock.
Marquise Brown $5,000
Brown has 27 targets and two TDs over the last three weeks. That’s good for a 29.3% target share and 27% targets per routes run. He has the 7th most air yards over that span. The Bengals are bottom ten in yards per reception allowed.
Tyler Boyd $4,500
With Higgins banged up, Boyd will see an uptick in target. Over the last three weeks he’s seen a good amount of work averaging 8 targets with a 21% target share. Burrow is tied for the 3rd most pass attempts so Boyd will have plenty of opportunities.
WanDale Robinson $3,000
After only playing 24% of snaps in his first game back from his knee injury. He saw his snap share increase to 64% last week. He should get more involved as he gets healthier. Especially considering he’s been the most productive Giants’ WR since coming back. He leads the team in targets, receptions and yards. It’s rare to get a WR who’s actually involved for min price.
TE
Mark Andrews $5,500
With no OBJ or Bateman Andrews gets a substantial target share which is more than enough to make a case for him at whats a very affordable price.
Zach Ertz $3,500
Ertz has eight or more targets in three of his four games. He has a 25% target share and the 2nd most targets among TEs. Cincy is bottom ten in yards allowed to TEs.
DEF
NO $3,000
TEN $2,400
