Week 4 Waiver Wire Targets
Week 4 Waiver Wire Targets
After three regular season weeks, there is still plenty of waiver wire value across multiple sites. Before closing your fantasy football apps tonight, make sure these players are rostered in your leagues. If they are not, put in a waiver wire claim or drop some free agent acquisition budget (FAAB) on these players.

RB Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers
ESPN: 62% rostered; Sleeper: 63%; Yahoo!: 55%
Week 4 opponent: @ Houston Texans
Jaylen Warren continues to be a thorn in the side of Najee Harris and his fantasy football managers. Warren’s snap share continues to rise, while Harris’s continues to slowly diminish. Even if Warren is behind Harris on the Steelers’ depth chart for the time being, he is still a valuable asset in the passing game. Warren saw just 33 targets in 16 games last year; he’s already halfway there with 16 targets thru Week 3. Harris has just six targets in this span. Warren will be a fixture in this offense for the remainder of the season. While he is the highest rostered player mentioned, he should be a priority on the Week 4 waiver wire where available.
RB Roschon Johnson, Chicago Bears
ESPN: 33% rostered; Sleeper: 59%; Yahoo!: 48%
Week 4 opponent: vs. Denver Broncos
Roschon Johnson’s snap percentage has slowly rose since Week 1. Last week, Khalil Herbert saw 55% of snaps and a 10% target share, while Johnson played 45% of snaps and saw a 10% target share. And now the Bears play a Broncos team that was lit up by the Dolphins for 70 last week. This Bears offense has been a dumpster fire, but Johnson can offer a glimmer of hope over the coming weeks. See if he is available before your Week 4 waiver wire closes Tuesday night.
WR Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers
ESPN: 1% rostered; Sleeper: 9%; Yahoo!: 6%
Week 4 opponent: vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Mike Williams is out for the remainder of the season with a confirmed ACL tear. When Mike Williams missed Weeks 9 thru 13 last year, Palmer played at least 90% of the team’s snaps and averaged 9.2 targets per game (22.8% target share). This resulted in an average of 12.9 half-PPR points per contest playing alongside Keenan Allen. First round pick Quentin Johnston has yet to carve out a role as a rookie, playing in under a quarter of the Chargers’ snaps. Palmer can be the third option behind Allen and Austin Ekeler when he returns and could offer immediate fantasy football upside, making him a prominent Week 4 waiver wire target.
TE Luke Musgrave, Green Bay Packers
ESPN: 32% rostered; Sleeper: 24%; Yahoo!: 19%
Week 4 opponent: vs. Detroit Lions (TNF)
While Luke Musgrave has yet to find the end zone, he has put together two TE1 weeks to start the season. In Christian Watson’s absence, he is tied for the Packers’ lead with 11 receptions on 15 targets, the third most for the team. And he welcomes the Detroit Lions to town for Thursday Night Football. The Lions have surrendered the most points to opposing tight ends, surrendering 20 receptions for 220 yards over the last two weeks to the Seahawks and Falcons. Jordan Love has been great to start the season, and it’s only a matter of time before him and Musgrave connect in the end zone. If you’re in a pinch for a Week 4 tight end, put a claim in for Musgrave on your Week 4 waiver wire.
