Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
I’m personally paying down at QB but obviously Mahomes is in a smash spot with the highest implied team total on the slate.
Kirk Cousins $6,900
Cousins leads the league in passing TDs and has the 2nd most passing yards. The Vikings have by far the highest neutral pass rate in the NFL and with 54 game total, you couldn’t ask for a better game environment. The Chargers have also given up the most passing yards so far this season.
Andy Dalton $4,900
Look it’s not pretty but with no Bryce Young it’s not often you get a sub $5k QB. Miles Sanders is banged up and the Seahawks defense has allowed the 2nd most passing yards this season. Dalton should throw a bunch and the salary savings allows a stud filled lineup build.
If you can’t stomach Dalton(don’t know for sure if I can) CJ Stroud $5,300 would be my preferred pay down option.
RB
Tony Pollard $8,00
Pollard has an incredible workload through two weeks despite the offense not having to do much. Pollard has the 2nd most targets among running backs, the 3rd most rushes and the most opportunities inside the 10 yard line. The Cowboys are huge favorites with a 27.75 team total against the Cardinals who were torn apart last week by Saquon.
Brian Robinson $5,800
Robinson has been the surprise of the RB position so far this season. He has the 3rd most PPR points and has touched the ball on 53% of his snaps. The Bills looked much better against the run last week but that is slightly skewed considering the Raiders were playing from behind the bulk of the game. The Bills have given up five yards a carry and the 3rd most receiving yards to opposing RBs.
Zack Moss $5,500
Moss played 98% of snaps last week and was the only Indy RB to get a touch. That’s Christian McCaffrey type usage at $5.5k. He also had four targets last week which could increase if Richardson is out and Minshew starts.
Josh Kelley $5,400
Kelley was a major letdown last week but gets a much better matchup against the Vikings who’s allowed the 2nd most rushing yards and was torn up by Swift. Kelley has averaged 14.5 carries through two games. You want access to this game and Kelley has a safe workload at a low price.
WR
Justin Jefferson $9,300
Jefferson leads the league in receiving yards and has a 30% target share through two weeks. The Chargers have given up the most points and almost 100 more receiving yards than any other team to opposing WRs.
Keenan Allen $7,600
Since Week 11 when Keenan Allen came back from injury last year he has 102 targets, 74 receptions, 862 yds and 6 TDs which is good for the 2nd most points at receiver behind only Justin Jefferson. He has a 27% target share and is playing in the game with the highest total on the slate.
Nico Collins $5,300
Collins has been incredible to start the season. Averaging 10 targets, 6.5 receptions and 113 yards through 2 weeks. He has a 23.5% target share, an ADOT of 13.7 and the 4th most air yards in the league. Stroud has the 3rd most pass attempts on the season and will likely throw a lot again this week as an 8.5 point underdog.
Josh Reynolds $4,200
Reynolds has at least six targets in back to back games. He has a 20% target share on the year and leads the team in air yards. Amon Ra left the game last week with cramping but is dealing with an undisclosed injury and has missed practice. If Amon Ra is limited or can’t go Reynolds will increase his already healthy workload.
Tank Dell $3,600
Dell played 79% of snaps and had 10 targets past week. Now obviously you don’t want play two WRs from Houston but if you’re looking for a pay down option, Dell should get a healthy target share at sub $4k.
TE
Travis Kelce $7,200
This is a great price for Kelce considering his utilization in the offense with a 30 point implied team total. He’s another week removed from the knee injury. The Bears have allowed an average of 277 yards and 2 TDs through the air to Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love.
Dunham Smythe $2,900
Smythe is running a ton of routes and Miami has an implied team total of 27.5 points. If Waddle can’t get through concussion protocol he’ll get a healthy target share at a ridiculously low price.
