Bio
Tre Tucker starred in both Track and football at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy in Ohio. He was a three-time track state champion, collecting wins in the long jump, 100-meter dash, and the 4×200 as part of the relay team. On the football field, Tucker was a versatile athlete who dominated on both sides of the ball. He finished his career with 2,417 rushing yards, 1,922 receiving yards, and 68 total touchdowns. He also had nine interceptions on defense. Tucker was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class, garnering offers from Cincinnati, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, and others. He chose Cincinnati where he caught just seven balls for 92 yards as a freshman and 18 for 236 as a sophomore.
While his junior campaign wasn’t exactly anything to write home about, Tucker did essentially double his production from the previous season. He amassed 236 yards and two touchdowns on 34 receptions. Tucker’s best season came in 2022, with 52 receptions for 672 yards and three touchdowns.
Tucker was a tremendous asset on special teams throughout his career with the Bearcats. Not only did he have 14 tackles on coverage units, but he racked up more career return yardage (1,713) than he did receiving yards (1,426). He took a kickoff back for a touchdown in both his sophomore and junior seasons.

NFL Comp: Randall Cobb
Draft Projection: Day 3
Bottom Line:
Tre Tucker is a dynamic athlete with the speed, explosion, and elite quickness to be a play-making threat. However, his offensive production in four seasons at Cincinnati did not line up with his athletic traits. He never commanded a significant share of the passing offense and despite his elite athleticism, never managed to average more than 13 yards per reception in a season. Instead, he benefited from a lot of schemed touches on screen passes and free releases from the slot in a spread offense. Where Tucker will surely add value in the NFL, though, is on special teams as both a return and a key member on coverage units.
On the offensive side, he will need to find a team that lets him play to his strengths and is willing to scheme up opportunities to get him in space. For fantasy football, Tucker is a dart throw in the fourth round of rookie drafts, betting purely on his athleticism with the hopes that he can do more in the NFL than he did at the college level.
