Bio
Sean Tucker was a track and field athlete as well as a football star at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland. There, he played both running back and cornerback and ran for 1,204 yards and 14 touchdowns during his senior season. Tucker was a three-star prospect who received just five offers during the 2020 recruiting cycle. He signed on with Syracuse where he continued to compete on the track team as well as earn the starting running back title just four games into his freshman season. In nine games, Tucker rushed 137 times for 626 yards and four touchdowns while making little impact in the passing game. That changed in his sophomore season when he caught 20 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns.
Some would say we’re burying the lead, though, as Tucker was outstanding on the ground. On 246 carries, Tucker set the school’s single-season record with 1.496 rushing yards while finding the end zone 12 times. It earned him All-American honors as well as first-team All-ACC. Tucker followed that up with another 1,000-yard season on the ground and 254 yards on 36 receptions through the air. He scored 13 total touchdowns and was named second-team All-ACC.

Highlight Reel
Archetype: One-Cut
NFL Comp: Travis Etienne
Yards Per-Formance Grade: 75.4 (84th-percentile)
Draft Projection: Fourth Round
Bottom Line:
Sean Tucker is an explosive runner who has the speed and acceleration to be a true home-run threat. He runs with great patience, though sometimes can hesitate too much and lose the opportunity to hit an open hole. While he did catch passes at Syracuse, Tucker doesn’t have consistent enough hands, nor the ability in pass protection to be able to project as a true three-down threat at the NFL level. He will likely find draft capital early on day three of the NFL Draft and will make for a good pick in the second round of dynasty rookie drafts.
