It has only been a little over 24 hours into the legal tampering period, but boy oh boy do we have some signings! I am going to go over these free agency signings and add my quick reaction to how it will impact the fantasy landscape. Some of them are surprising as which is not always a good thing.

Carlos Hyde- RB, Seattle to Jacksonville
Hyde being added to the backfield in Jacksonville feels like more of a depth add to me. He is not going to steal the role from Robinson. We could see Hyde spell Robinson at times but as a Robinson owner there is no need to panic here. As far as Hydes value goes, he is going to be a stash type player who will have value if an injury occurs.
Corey Davis- WR, Tennessee to New York Jets
This was not the ideal landing spot for Davis in my opinion. He will have lots of targets yes, however he has become the alpha wide receiver again. We all remember how that went with Mariota in his early years. The best thing we can hope for is that Davis’s breakout last season was just that and is ready to become the alpha wide receiver he was brought in to be. Mims and Crowder I think stay the same value, both will be able to draw easier coverage now with Davis there. Hopefully the Jets can acquire a new quarterback or repair Darnold, as they have put together a solid wide receiver core.
Jonnu Smith- TE, Tennessee to New England
Smith was signed day one of free agency, finally a weapon their quarterback can use! The stocks rose on smith as he clearly would be the most talent playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. This appears not to be the case though, as on day two they added Henry as well. Smiths value has not rose with this transaction, he will be a high end TE2 at most with weeks of TE1 production but it will now be a guessing game as to who will see the targets each week.
It’s all fun thinking about the Jonnu Smith/Hunter Henry tandem until you remember it’s Cam Newton throwing the passes… pic.twitter.com/0CDv5ZMeb4

Hunter Henry- TE, Los Angeles to New England
Henry is the second tightend the Pats add in as many days. He will join Smith as a tightend duo reminiscent of Hernandez and Gronkowski. Just like Smith, Henry has dropped in value. He no longer is a for sure TE1 he will most likely be a High upside TE2 with Smith. At this point buying into Irv Smith or Adam Trautman, may have been the best move a fantasy manger could of made this offseason.
Nelson Aghlor- WR, Las Vagas to New England
Aghlor joins a weak wide receiver room, which he will most likely command day one. This is not the best thing in my opinion, last season Newton struggled to throw the ball deep. This being Aghlor’s bread and butter does not bode well for him. The way that the Pats are building this offense reminds me of the Pats of old. They are going to feed the tightends and running backs, leaving the wide receivers the scraps. Aghlor is only a start-able player in a few league formats and in most leagues he will have WR2 upside, with a terrible floor.
Kendrick Bourne- WR, San Francisco- New England
Bourne lives, or does he? This move to New England seems good on paper, however with all the other signings I feel he will get lost in the shuffle again. He has a chance to carve out a lead wide receiver role in their offense. Just like Aghlor though there may not be many targets to go around to this newly acquired wide receivers. Bourne will be hardly startable in most leagues, however could carve out a role that could make him a flex option some weeks.
Jameis Winston- QB, New Orleans to New Orleans
Hopefully Jameis did not sell his house, because he is staying put. The once great fantasy starter will get his chance again. Now with Brees retiring it will be an open competition between Taysom and Jameis. My money is on Jameis in this one, a much better passer who had lasik performed so he wont throw as many interceptions. Or so he says. Either way Jameis is a QB1 is all formats in this offense with a high end QB2 floor. This should help your Thomas and Truatman shares as well, also keep an eye on any other pass catchers added this offseason by the Saints.
Ryan Fitzpatrick- QB, Miami to Washington
Fitz magic is in the nations capitol! This is a one year deal to help bridge the quarterback situation, however this is a great situation for fantasy. Fitzpatrick will for sure be a QB2 this season weekly, and the rest of the playmakers just got a huge bump. If you roster Mclaurin, Thomas, Mckissic and or Gibson you are going to reap the rewards. Adding cheaper options like Cam Sims, Kelvin Harmon, Antonio Gandy-Golden could pay off big this season if they do not bring in another option.
Andy Dalton- QB, Dallas to Chicago
Dalton regains a starting role in the league, this is a good thing for all the players in Chicago. He has proven that he is a capable starter in this league. The Red Rifle should give a more constant average to the bears pass catchers. Allen Robinson should be a WR1 and Darnell Mooney should give us WR2-3 numbers. Dalton will be a solid streamer this season is he holds the starting gig and a viable QB2 in superflex leagues. Keep an eye on the Bears though as they could make a move for a younger quarterback.
Marvin Jones- WR, Detroit to Jacksonville
Jones being added to Meyers new offense could be a solid add for your fantasy team. Most likely he with be the third option in Jacksonville. There is rumors that Chark could be dealt, if this is the case Jones could becomes a startable option. If not he has an upside in the mid to low end WR2 numbers, and a low floor. He could be a solid add for depth in shallow leagues or deep leagues.
