College Football Week 10 Best Bets
Week 10 of the college football calendar signals the reveal of the College Football Playoff rankings. Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, and Florida State control their own destiny as the initial top-four. An unbeaten Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Alabama wait in the wings. Will Week 10 college football upsets shake up the playoff picture?
Here are my favorite Week 10 college football plays.

Texas A&M (5-3) vs. #10 Ole Miss (7-1)
Ole Miss -3; O/U 53.5
Ole Miss -3 (-112)
The last time Texas A&M won a road game was over two years ago at Missouri. Every road loss in that span was by at least a field goal. The Aggies are also just 1-5 ATS on the road since the start of last season. Ole Miss is a perfect 5-0 at home this season with each win coming by at least a touchdown. I think both trends continue as the hot seat gets hotter for Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies.
Army (2-6) vs. #23 Air Force (8-0)
Air Force –18.5; O/U 32
Under 32 (-110)

The UNDER is 44-10-1 in service academy matchups since 2005.

Coastal Carolina (5-3) vs. Old Dominion (4-4)
Old Dominion +1; O/U 51
Under 51 (-110)
Coastal Carolina is the best team in the nation at hitting the UNDER, going 7-1 this season. Grayson McCall’s season is done, leaving backup senior Jarrett Guest as his replacement. Guest has been sound in his little opportunity, but has just 91 career attempts over five seasons. Coastal’s defense is allowing just 23 PPG in conference play, and just 15.7 on their three-game winning streak. The only occurrence an over hit in a Coastal Carolina game this season came against FCS Duquesne. With a backup quarterback and a sound defense, I think that trend continues thru the Week 10 college football weekend.
#5 Washington (8-0) vs. #20 USC (7-2)
USC +3; O/U 76.5
Washington: Team Total Over 40.5 (-115)
Everyone is down on Washington after back-to-back single-digit wins over Arizona State and Stanford. As a result, most are banking on them to be the first of the remaining undefeated Power Five programs to fall.
I would argue they were in a letdown sandwich: big win against Oregon, followed by a close win against Arizona State. A close win against Stanford, before a big road contest at USC. There were letdown spots before and after major conference opponents. USC’s opponents have cashed on eight of the nine team total OVERs this season. In their last six, USC has allowed 40.2 PPG on average. Now is the time for everyone to hop back on the Washington bandwagon against a susceptible USC defense.

Miami (6-2) vs. North Carolina State (5-3)
North Carolina State +5.5; O/U 44
North Carolina State +5.5 (-110)
We hit on this last week with ACC underdogs. After Georgia Tech and NC State won outright last week, home underdogs in the ACC are now 11-4 ATS and 7-8 SU in 2023. NC State is 2-0 ATS and 1-1 SU as a conference home dog this season. Miami is an abysmal 2-10 ATS under Mario Cristobal in ACC play and finds themselves in a trap spot. Two weeks ago the Hurricanes upset Clemson, then won in overtime at home against Virginia last week. Now, they have Florida State next week in what should be the game of their season. I’m taking NC State to keep this close and potentially pull the upset in Raleigh.
