ADP Movers
As we approach the kick off of the 2021 season, it can mean only one thing – draft time!
That means draft preparation time and trawling through your favourite resources to get the rankings you like to use in your draft. That’s great but rankings alone aren’t going to be enough, you need to understand the Average Draft Position (ADP) of the site that you’ll be drafting on.
Put simply, if one of your favourite players is generally going in round five on the platform you’re drafting then you likely don’t need to take him in round three. Instead, you might want to draft another stud in round three and take your player in round four (just to be sure).

Now let’s look at the biggest risers and fallers on each of the major platforms.
Yahoo
Risers
There looks to be some natural corrections in here with Robert Tonyan’s ADP likely impacted by the refreshed certainty on Aaron Rodgers. Similarly, Darrell Henderson continues to rise as drafters come to terms with the Cam Akers injury.
Watch out for the Defenses and Kickers, with the Chiefs and Tyler Bass moving up the board. They’re currently going in rounds 10 and 9 respectively, that’s way too early.
Fallers
On the positive side Robbie Gould and the Colts are the two biggest fallers, which reflects well on smart drafters not pulling the trigger early on these positions.
Hunter Henry and Michael Thomas are feeling the impact of recent injuries, while Dallas Goedert drafters are being to get spooked by Zach Ertz’s refusal to leave the building.
And Deshaun Watson….well, the less said the better. I expect to see him continue to drop.
ESPN
Risers
Interestingly, the top two risers on ESPN are both tight ends with Gesicki at the top despite being a big Faller in the Yahoo ADP.
This list is also home to some of the higher-end backup running backs with A.J. Dillon, Jamaal Williams and Kenyan Drake accompanying rookie Javonte Williams.
Once again Darrel Henderson is moving up in the absence of Cam Akers. Keep an eye on this, if he keeps moving up then his price is going to be more risk than you should take.
Fallers
Similarly to Yahoo, we see injury knocking down Michael Thomas who is joined by Curtis Samuel and Joe Burrow who have injury questions heading in to the start of the season.
And again we see Dallas Goedert falling as a result of Zach Ertz hanging on in Philadelphia.
David Johnson is the biggest faller on ESPN following the Texans release of their depth chart showing Phillip Lindsay and Mark Ingram as co-starters. We’ll need to keep an eye on this for further developments as Johnson now finds himself in the 11th round of drafts.
MFL
Risers
Marvin Jones and Antonio Brown have found their way on to a couple of these lists now, as drafters are starting to take the veterans seriously. This is perhaps reflective of the time of year as we move further away from the NFL draft and the inevitable rookie hype that followed.
They lead a string of receivers who are number two in their offenses with Mecole Hardman, Robby Anderson, Russell Gage and Darnell Mooney also on the move.
Rookie Elijah Moore has moved up following some training camp hype but with an injury now in play, don’t be surprised to see him on the Fallers list next time.
Fallers
8 of the 10 biggest fallers on MFL are Quarterback. They’re still going in the right range so this looks like a correction from a place where they were previously too high. It’s no surprise to see Deshaun Watson dropping the most out of this group.
They’re joined by Hunter Henry and Rashod Bateman who both carry recent injury issues.
Sleeper
Risers
Sleeper looks a little different from the others with Damien Harris and Trey Sermon taking the biggest leaps, perhaps buoyed by recent hype from their teams and a recognition of the upside they have where you can get them.
Antonio Brown makes his way on to yet another of the riser lists, it seems drafters are buying in to his potential and his performances down the stretch last season.
Unlike MFL, Sleeper drafters are pushing Quarterbacks up the board with 4 inside the top 10 risers.
Fallers
This is an interesting list that looks very different to the others.
Michael Thomas’ injury leads the way but is then followed by Austin Hooper and Amon-Ra St Brown which is a bit of a puzzle as well as a big drop from Marvin Jones who finds himself at an unbelievable value in Sleeper drafts.
Sleeper drafters are not fans of the messy backfields with Johnson, Gordon, Drake and Fournette all taking hits.
