Quinshon Judkins Bio
Quinshon Judkins has been dominating on a football field since his days at Pike Road High School in Alabama. There, he amassed 4,220 career rushing yards and 67 touchdowns. He was a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class off the back of a senior season that included 1,534 yards and 26 touchdowns. Judkins was a coveted recruit, receiving offers from a number of schools, including Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Florida, Miami, and others. He chose Ole Miss where he had immediate success. Judkins not only rushed for 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns, which are incredible numbers for a true freshman, but he led the SEC in both categories. He was awarded SEC Freshman of the Year, as well as First-Team All-SEC, Freshman All-American, and SEC Newcomer of the Year.
It was more of the same in 2023 when Judkins again led the SEC in both rushing yards (1,158) and rushing touchdowns (15). He added another 149 yards and two scores as a receiver while starting all 13 games for the Rebels.
Despite the success at Ole Miss, Judkins entered the transfer portal after the 2023 season. He was rated as a four-star transfer prospect, per 247Sports, and signed with the Ohio State Buckeyes. It was a risky move as Judkins was signing up to share a backfield with an already established star running back—TreVeyon Henderson. It worked, though, as the team rode their two-headed backfield all the way to the national championship game. While Judkins’ production predictably took a hit, he remained as effective as ever. On a career-low 183 rush attempts, Judkins amassed 960 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. As a receiver out of the backfield, he caught 20 passes for 140 yards and another score.

NFL Draft & Dynasty Outlook:
Quinshon Judkins is a complete running back who can make an impact in a variety of ways. Between the tackles, he is patient with good vision, quick feet, and the burst to get through the hole to the next level. He has the speed to kick it outside, turn the corner and accelerate for a long gain. When confronted with tacklers, Judkins has no problem squaring up, lowering his shoulder and using his power, size, and strength to run through anybody. However, he also has the moves to make would-be tacklers miss in the open field. Judkins does an excellent job working through traffic and navigating his way to the next level. He runs hard while routinely falling forward and gaining additional yardage after contact.
In the passing game, Judkins’ production was underwhelming in all three seasons, but he proved to be a more than capable pass catcher when given the opportunity. He has good hands and is a reliable option on check-downs and screens, as well as some of the more expansive routes. He can even be found lining up out wide or in the slot from time to time. We could see his role as a receiver expand at the next level.
Speaking of the next level, Judkins projects as a starting NFL running back who can make an impact on all three downs. His athleticism, size, and overall skill set will translate perfectly to a featured role. Judkins is scheme versatile and can fill multiple roles within a backfield. If an offense wants to establish physicality and power football, Judkins can be that guy. If they’re looking for some speed and burst with open field elusiveness, Judkins can be that guy. And if they want a guy who doesn’t need to come off the field on third downs or in short yardage or in the red zone, Judkins can be that guy.
He even showed us that he can be effective in a split backfield at Ohio State after being the bell-cow for two years at Ole Miss. Whatever a team is looking for at the running back position, Judkins will fit the bill. It will be no surprise, then, when Judkins comes off the board in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He stands among the top players at his position in a running back class that is rich with talent. In dynasty, you won’t find many players with a better floor/ceiling combination in rookie drafts than Quinshon Judkins.
