Winning Week 12 Cash Games On Draftkings
Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP even if its a small one. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you could’ve won a GPP.
QB
QB is a disaster for Cash this week. Everyone has some warts. I really only like Geno but if you wanted I could see making a case for
Bo Nix $6,300
Kyler Murray $6,200
Geno Smith $5,700
Geno offers a nice floor at an affordable salary. Seattle is throwing at a very high rate with Geno leading the league with 37.4 pass attempts per game. His ceiling could be helped by a beneficial game environment against the Cardinals with a total of 47.5. The Cardinals have played better defense in their last couple games but I’m not sold considering it was against some pathetic offenses.
RB
There’s a lot of good options at RB and I’ll be trying to get three RBs in my lineup.
Christian McCaffrey $8,500
McCaffrey has come right back to his elite usage. He played 88% and 94% of snaps in his last two games. He will likely get more of his burst back as the season goes on and his salary will increase with it. Purdy is out so the 49ers will rely on McCaffrey even more.
Joe Mixon $8,000
Mixon has five straight games with at least 20 carries. He’s had over 100 yards rushing in all but two of his games. He’s scored a TD in seven of his eight games. Mixon leads the league in rushing attempts per game and is 3rd in rushing yards per game. As eight point favorites at home he should be in a positive game script and have plenty of opportunities.
DeVon Achane $7,500
Achane is a weekly cash option with his usage in the passing game. He continues to see targets and gets the bulk of the carries. Miami is a seven point favorite at home against a porous New England defense.
James Conner $6,500
This one is simple. Conner is one of the few workhorses in the NFL playing in a great game environment and DK refuses to raise his salary.
Kareem Hunt $5,700
Hunt is a steal at this price. He’s likely much more expensive if Pacheco wasn’t lurking. The Chiefs don’t need Pacheco to beat the Panthers so he’ll be out one more week. Hunt only had 14 carries last week and the Chiefs probably win the game if they just gave him the ball. He had at least 21 touches in each of his previous five games.
Brian Robinson $5,600
Robinson is in a great spot as double digit favorites agsints the Cowboys who can’t stop anyone on the ground. Washington has a 28 point implied team total which is the 2nd highest on the slate.
WR
Nico Collins $7,600
Nico saw seven targets in his first game back despite playing limited snaps. He had a huge TD called back and another 25 yard catch. The Titans have regressed tremendously defending the pass and have allowed the 6th most receiving TDs this season.
Courtland Sutton $5,800
Sutton has been very consistent lately and has a very safe floor. He’s had at least six receptions and 70 yards in four straight games. He has the 5th most targets, 4th most receptions and 3rd most receiving yards over that span.
Jauan Jennings $5,600
Jennings is coming off of back to back games with 11 targets which was good for a 32% target share. He had over 90 yards receiving in both games and scored a TD last week. The best part is his salary has barely increased at all. Obviously with Purdy out it decreases his upside but I still think he’s Cash viable. I just wouldn’t play him and CMC in the same lineup.
Jakobi Meyers $5,100
Last week wasn’t great but since Week 8, Meyers has a 24% target share. He’s had at least six receptions in three of his last four games. Vegas is a 6 point underdog and should be forced to throw even more so considering the injuries in their backfield.
TE
Brock Bowers $6,300
Bowers had a ridiculous 16 targets last week and has quickly turned into arguably the best TE in the league. At a volatile position it makes sense to pay up if you can afford it for a guy that is the clear number one for his team.
Hunter Henry $4,000
Henry has at least five catches in four of his last five games. With Maye as the starter, Henry has a 21% target share and has the 6th most targets and catches among TEs.
Luke Schoonmaker $2,500
Schoon had six catches on 10 targets last week. People were playing Davis Allen last week simply because he was on the field. Luke is a far better play at min price.
