Week 17 DraftKings Cash Game Breakdown
Week 17 Draftkings Cash Game Breakdown
Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
QB
Jalen Hurts $8,300
Hurts is the top option if paying up at QB this week. He has an upside and his rushing provides an incredible floor. He has the most rushing attempts among QBs over the last six weeks. He’s scored eight rushing TDs over that span. The Cardinals are terrible defensively and barely get any pressure.
Brock Purdy $7,000
Purdy threw four interceptions last week after only throwing two in his previous six games. In those six games he threw multiple TDs in all but one and averaged 24.8 DraftKings points over that span. He now gets to face the Commanders who have allowed the most points to opposing QBs and the most passing TDs in the league.
Jacoby Brissett $4,900
There’s a number of pay down options at QB this week but I like Brissett the most. The Commanders already throw the ball a ton and as heavy underdogs against the 49ers that won’t change. On limited action the last two weeks he’s thrown three TDs on 23 0ass attempts and has completed 78% of his passes. If you don’t like Brissett and still want to pay down, Tyrod Taylor $4.6k would be the other option.
RB
Christian McCaffrey $9,600
Christian McCaffrey facing the Washington Commanders. Need I say more. Ok fine, in a league that has devalued RBs he’s being considered for the MVP.
Kyren Williams $8,300
Since coming back from injury, Kyren leads the league in carries and rushing yards. Over that span he’s averaging 22 carries, 120 rushing yards and 5.4 yards per carry. The Giants have allowed the 2nd most rushing TDs this season.
Ezekiel Elliott $6,000
Elliott has been a workhorse since Rhamondre got injured. He has the 2nd most targets and receptions among RBs over the last five weeks. He’s averaging 19.6 opportunities per game over that span. The Bills have allowed 7.1 yards per reception to opposing RBs over the last six weeks.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire $5,300
No Pacheco, McKinnon is on IR and it’s gonna be the CEH show as heavy favorites at home against the Bengals who have been susceptible to the run game.
Zhamir White $5,100
With Jacobs likely missing again it will be the Zhamir White show. In two games as a starter he had 17 and 22 carries. He’s averaged 5.5 yards per carry and 107 rush yards over those two games. The Colts have zero problem running the ball 30 times. Indy is bottom five against RBs and have allowed the 2nd most rushing TDs this season.
WR
Tyreek Hill $9,600
Tyreek has been the best receiver in football. He has a 32% target share this season and it could be around 40% in this one with Waddle out.
Rashee Rice $6,900
Rice has double digit targets in three of his last five games. He’s averaged 10.2 targets, 7.6 receptions and has the 3rd most targets among WRs over that span. The Bengals have allowed 15.3 yards per reception which is highest in the league.
Chris Olave $6,800
Over the last five weeks Olave has a 28% target share, has been targeted on 33% of his routes. Over that span he’s averaging nine targets, 6.3 receptions, 96 yards and 15.4 yards per reception. He faces Tampa who has allowed the most yards to opposing WRs this season.
Curtis Samuel $4,400
Samuel has an 18% target share with Jacoby Brissett at QB. Last week was a dud but he had previously caught at least four balls in three straight games. The 49ers have allowed the 5th most points to opposing slot WRs.
Demarco Douglas $4,300
Douglas doesn’t have much of a ceiling but has a nice floor for cash. The Patriots are heavy underdogs and will have to throw a lot. With a lack of pass catchers Douglas will see a healthy target share. He had five receptions for 74 yards last week.
TE
Trey McBride $5,900
McBride is underpriced AGAIN. He’s basically the Cardinals entire offense going against a leaky Eagles defense.
Gerald Everett $3,500
Keenan Allen is out, Josh Palmer will likely be out. Gerald Everett should see a ton of work. He has eight targets in three straight games. The Broncos are terrible against TEs allowing the 4th most catches and 2nd most yards to opposing TEs this season.
DEF
CHI $3,400
DEN $2,900
