Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Breakdown

The 6-5 Seahawks head to Dallas to face the 8-3 Cowboys. Both teams played on Thanksgiving and have had a full week to prepare for this game.

The Seahawks lost 13-31 to the 49ers at home last week and lost by one to the Rams two weeks ago. They’ll have a tough task taking on the Cowboys in Dallas.

The Cowboys have been on a roll winning three straight and averaging 42 points per game over that span. They’ve only allowed 12.3 points per game over that span.

The obvious way to build will be heavy on the Cowboys and I’m definitely going to have some lineups with that in mind. However I do think Seattle is a much better team than any of the Cowboys’ last three opponents. I don’t think they can win but like they’re chances to keep it respectable.

I’ll have plenty of Dak and Ceedee captain lineups but might actually like Pollard the most. I think you can pair Dak and Pollard to get different from Dak n Ceedee lineups. My favorite non Ceedee pass catcher on Dallas is Ferguson. I think he can get back in the endzone after a couple down weeks.

As for the Seahawks I don’t know how many of them I’m willing to use at captain but definitely like Geno with two pass catchers. I lean Metcalf over Lockett and like the savings with JSN. I also think Charbonnet gets enough passing work to pair with Geno as well.

Captain/Flex

Ceedee Lamb $17,100/$11,400

Ceedee has scored a TD in three straight games. He’s been great and his numbers are elite across the board. He has a 27% target share, has been targeted on 28% of his routes, is averaging 2.8 yards per route run and is averaging 13.7 yards per reception. He’s pretty good.

Dak Prescott $16,500/$$11,000

Dak has thrown multiple TDs in five straight games and has seven more passing TDs than any other QB over that span. He has a safe floor also because of how willing to throw the ball the Cowboys are in any situation. He’s averaging 311 yards and three TDs at home this season.

Tony Pollard $14,700/$9,800

Pollard hasn’t been incredible but has been much better lately. He has at least five targets in three of his last four games and has 11 total receptions in his last two games. He has the 2nd most carries inside the 10 yard line. The Seahawks have allowed the 2nd most rushing TDs to opposing RBs this season.

Flex

DK Metcalf $9,600

DK put up a dud last week but previously had at least 94 yards in back to back games. He had at least nine targets in three straight games and has a 25% target share this year. He’s averaging 15.8 yards per reception and has an ADOT of 13.7 yards. If I were going to use a Seahawk at Captain it would most likely be Metcalf.

Tyler Lockett $7,200

Lockett leads the Seahawks in receptions and receiving TDs. He’s averaging 12.5 DraftKings points per game and that’s with only scoring three points in Week 1. Dallas has been great defensively this year but are actually bottom ten in receptions allowed to WRs over the last four weeks.

Brandin Cooks $8,000

As has been the case for the bulk of his career, Cooks is up and down. He’s flashed a ceiling recently. Especially in Week 10 when he had nine catches for 173 yards. He’s scored a TD in three of his last five games.

Geno Smith $9,200

Geno has not been good lately. He’s definitely taken a step back from last season but in a one game sample could absolutely pay off. QBs clearly have an easier path to points and two of the three times Geno has thrown for 300 yards have been on the road.

Jake Ferguson $6,200

Ferguson had 32 and 35 yards the last two weeks but had previously scored a TD in three straight games. He leads all TEs with 10 targets inside the ten yard line.

Zach Charbonnet $6,800

Charbonnet hasn’t been incredibly efficient but is getting a ton of work. He had 14 carries last week and 15 the previous week. His passing game usage has added a floor as well. He has at least four receptions in three straight games.

Jaxson Smith Njigba $5,200

JSN has carved out a roll in this offense but his ceiling is capped with the existence of Metcalf and Lockett. He’s still been productive with at least 40 yards in each of his last four games. He most likely won’t be the highest scoring player in the game but has a nice floor especially considering his salary.

DAL Defense $5,600

Dallas has scored almost 30 more fantasy points than any other defense this year and have been even better at home this year. They’ll be popular but could easily outscore some of the cheaper options in this game.

Rico Dowdle $4,200

Dowdle is definitely second fiddle to Pollard but did have carry totals of 8 and 12 in week’s 11 and 12. He gets mop up duty when the Cowboys have a lead late and they’re 8.5 point favorites at home so he could definitely see some second half work.

Jalen Tolbert $3,000
Michael Gallup $3,800

Neither is seeing a ton of targets and your likely hoping for three catches at best. Both have some big play upside but it’s highly unlikely that both get there together so I’ll only play one of them at max in any given lineup.
