Conference Championship Draftkings Preview

It’s the last week with a multiple game slate on DraftKings. With only two games ownership is extremely condensed. Game theory is even more important than normal weeks. Think about how you see the games going and build accordingly. See one team as the clear highest scoring? Build an onslaught of that team. One game scores way more than the other? Stack the he’ll out of it. You’ll want to get different so leaving salary on the table is always a possibility. At this point of the season we know what these guys are capable of. Its more about game theory than statistical cases.

QB

Patrick Mahomes $7,800
It’s risky with the ankle injury but that leads me to believe that others will be apprehensive as well. If I can get Mahomes at an ownership discount I’m in. The Bengals have allowed 257 passing yards per game over their last five games which is the most of the remaining teams.

Jalen Hurts $7,200
We know the upside Hurts possesses on th ground but the 49ers are better against the run than the pass so I expect Hurts to rack up yards through the air. The 49ers have allowed 10 passing TDs over their last five games.

RB

Joe Mixon $6,500
The Bengals passing game will be more popular which makes Mixon an intriguing play. With a lack of RB options on the slate he won’t be low owned by any means but could still be leverage on the Burrow & the pass catchers. He had 20 attempts, 100 yards and a TD last week.

Jerick McKinnon $5,400
McKinnon was ineffective last week but I’m going right back to him. He had previously scored a TD in six straight games with nine total TDs over that span.

Isaiah Pacheco $5,300
Pacheco has been consistent averaging 12.7 DraftKings points since Week 11. While that doesn’t seem like a lot it could be more than enough with the lack of RB options on the slate. I’ll have lineups with both him and McKinnon. It will especially pay off if Mahomes is limited and the Chiefs go run heavy.

Samaje Perine $4,500
Perine is the perfect combo of low price and ownership. He will be involved with how much the Bengals will be be throwing. At this salary all he needs is a few catches and 50-60 yards. If he scores a TD on top of that he’s an incredible play.

WR

AJ Brown $7,000
Brown is a big play waiting to happen. He averaged 17 yards per reception this season. The Eagles have been great at creating a game plan to expose the opposing team’s weakness. While the 49ers aren’t necessarily weak they are more susceptible against the pass and the Eagles will throw a lot.

Deebo Samuel $5,700
His price is still too low. With McCaffrey and Mitchell banged up, Deebo will get some extra work especially in the backfield.

Tee Higgins $5,400
I will be playing some Chase but will be a little higher on Higgins. Higgins hasn’t been great lately but we know the ability/upside. It’s really a game theory play. He won’t exactly be low owned but will be close to half the ownership of Chase.

Fantasy football

Tyler Boyd $3,800
This is similar to the case I made for Perine. The price is too good. The Chiefs also allowed the 7th most points to slot receivers this season.

Kadarius Toney $3,700
Mecole Hardman $3,500
If Hardman can play I prefer him but think Toney can be played regardless. They won’t get a ton of volume but Andy Reid designs plays to get them the ball in space.

TE

Travis Kelce $7,800
Kelce will garner some ownership especially after last weeks performance. I’m honestly considering playing him in 100% of my lineups. He’s just that good.

George Kittle $5,700
Kittle has been great with Purdy catching at least four passes in six of his last seven games. He also has seven TDs over that span. Most will pay up for Kelce or drop down to Goedert making Kittle a bit of a leverage play.

DEF

PHI $2,800

KC $2,500
