Draftkings Wild Card Weekend
It’s playoff time!!! Wild Card weekend is here and we have six games spread over the course of three days. There will be several options as far as slates go. I personally will be mostly invested in the Sat-Mon six game slate. The other featured slates are a Saturday only slate, Sunday only slate and a two game afternoon only Sunday slate. The less games on the slate you choose the more perfect you have to be. Ownership gets condensed on smaller slates and missing out out a high scoring player or two will sink you much quicker. There’s more wiggle room and competitive advantage with more games. Let’s get into the matchups, my favorite plays and some ways to get different.
Saturday
SEA @ SF: SF – 9.5 Over/Under:42
LAC @ JAX: LAC -2.5 Over/Under: 47.5
Sunday
MIA @ BUF: BUF -13 Over/Under: 43.5
NYG @ MIN: MIN -3 Over/Under: 48
BAL @ CIN: CIN -9.5 Over/Under: 40.5
Monday
DAL @ TB: DAL -2.5 Over/Under: 45.5
QB
Josh Allen $7,900
Allen is the top option at QB this week. He threw multiple TDs in 11 games. He also contributed with his legs rushing for the 3rd most yards among QBs. He had seven rushing TDs and averaged over six yards a carry. Miami allowed the 2nd most points to opposing QBs this season.
Justin Herbert $6,600
Herbert had an up and down season but finished with the 2nd most passing yards. He also has great options that make stacking him easy in the game with the 2nd highest total. The Jaguars allowed the 5th most passing yards this season.
Daniel Jones $5,600
Over his final two games of the season, Jones had the most points of any QB. He totaled 3 passing TDs and ran for two TDs. He averaged 44.5 rushing yards per game. The Vikings allowed the 2nd most passing yards this season.
RB
Christian McCaffrey $8,900
McCaffrey is the top option and finished the season with over 1,000 yards rushing and lead the league in receiving yards among RBs. Seattle is not good against the run but more importantly allowed 8.7 yards per reception to RBs which was highest in the league.
Austin Ekeler $8,300
Ekeler averaged 7.5 targets and 6.3 catches. He had the 5th most receptions of any player in the league. He also scored 19 total TDs. Jacksonville allowed the 2nd most receptions and receiving yards to opposing RBs.
Saquon Barkley $7,900
Saquon came back strong this year but did put up some duds. He had five games with 15 or less points. He did finish with the 4th most rushing yards and forced the 4th most missed tackles.
Travis Etienne $6,300
Etienne averaged 5.1 yards per carry. Chargers have allowed the 2nd most rushing yards and a league high 5.6 yards per carry.
Leonard Fournette $5,300
While most of the Bucs played fairly significant snaps last week, Fournette got the most rest. They will rely heavily on him especially in the red zone and passing game. In his five games prior to Week 18 he averaged 5.8 receptions.
Eli Mitchell $4,700
When healthy Mitchell has been useful. He’s averaged 6.2 yards per carry. The 49ers are 13 point favorites and will run the ball a ton. Eli will get plenty of work against this defense at a low salary.
WR
Justin Jefferson $8,400
Jefferson will be named the offensive player of the year. He’s likely the best play on the slate. It’s that simple.
Stefon Diggs $7,600
Diggs finished with the 4th most receptions and fifth most receiving yards despite only playing 16 games. Buffalo has the highest implied team total on the slate and Diggs is too cheap with four receivers being more expensive than him.
Keenan Allen $7,000
Allen has the most receptions and 2nd most targets since returning from injury in Week 11. He averaged 7.5 catches and 10.4 targets over that span. The Jaguars have allowed 177.2 points to outside receivers and 356.4 points to the slot where Allen spends the bulk of his time.
Josh Palmer $5,300
Mike Williams has been ruled out. While he was out earlier this season, Palmer was the leading receiver averaging 9.2 targets, 6.2 receptions and 74.4 yards.
Richie James $3,900
James had seven catches and eight catches in each of his last two games. He had 18 total targets in those games. Since week 12 he had a 23% target share and was targeted on 24% if his routes run.
TE
George Kittle $6,100
Kittle has been on fire scoring two TDs in three of his last four games. He had four receptions 93 yards and two TDs against Seattle in Week 15. The Seahawks allowed the most yards to TEs this season.
Mark Andrews $5,200
It’s hard to make a statistical case for Andrews. He did have nine catches for 100 yards in his last game. With no receivers on the team the passing game has to go through him.
Dawson Knox $4,000
Knox has scored a TD straight games. Miami allowed the third most points to opposing TEs this season.

SF $3,600
BUF $3,300
BAL $2,500
