Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Spread: Raiders -6

Injuries to Monitor
John Wolford is dealing with a neck injury and has not practiced. He is listed as questionable.
Ben Skowronek has been limited with a shoulder injury but is expected to play.
Josh Jacobs is still dealing with his calf injury. He’s played through it the past two weeks and should be good to go in this one.
Ameer Abdullah has a hamstring injury but is expected to play.
Overview
If you wanted to go do some shopping or decorate for the holidays instead of watching this one I wouldn’t blame you. The Raiders head to LA to face the Rams. The Raiders have actually looked good winning three straight. The Rams on the other hand have been decimated by injuries and look to be crawling to the finish line.
I don’t see this being a very high scoring game and its very obvious where to go on the Raiders side. The Rams players are much harder to project. Most people will try to jam Adams and Jacobs and figure the rest out. There’s not a ton of value so it will be a little difficult. Both Kickers and defenses can be played due to the lack of value and the fact that a lot of players will end the game with lower scores.I actually like Carr a lot in this game. He doesn’t need a ceiling game to pay off in this game. You can pair him with Adams, Moreau and/or Hollins and bring it back with some cheap Rams pieces.
Captain/Flex
Davante Adams $19,200/$12,800
Adams leads the league in targets and has a 32.9% target share. He’s targeted on 30% of his routes run. He also leads the league in receiving TDs and has the 2nd most air yards. The Rams have allowed the 4th most points to opposing WRs over the last six weeks.
Josh Jacobs $18,600/$12,400
Jacobs has been an absolute monster this season. He leads the league in rushing yards, yards after contact and broken tackles. He’s also top 10 among RBs in receptions and receiving yards. He’s averaged a ridiculous 172.3 rushing yards per game over the last three weeks.
Derek Carr $15,300/$10,200
Carr has averaged 271.8 passing yards over his last five games. He’s thrown multiple TDs in each of those games. He’s actually thrown the most passing TDs in the NFL over that span. The Rams have allowed the most passing TDs over the last six weeks.
Cam Akers $11,700/$7,800
Akers is coming off his best game of the year. He had a season high 17 carries and scored twice. He’s the safest bet on the Rams to get touches and to score a TD. The Raiders have allowed the most points to opposing RBs over the last six weeks.
The Rest
Baker Mayfield $9,000
Baker has been claimed by the Rams and will suit up for this game. It’s difficult to imagine he gets any significant snaps as the player who literally runs the offense after only being with the team for one day. He could however see a couple of snaps if Wolford is unable to play.
John Wolford $8,800
He’s a QB on a one game slate that likely won’t have a lot of high scoring players. Seriously though there’s not much upside with Wolford. Vegas has however allowed the 4th most passing yards and 3rd most passing TDs this season.
Mac Hollins $7,400
Hollins has been involved of late with target totals of 9, 5, 9 and six in his last four games. He has at least four catches in three straight games. He has a 23% target share over that span.
Foster Moreau $6,600
Moreau is basically a lock for three catches and 30 yards. Over his last six games he’s averaged 2.7 catches and 35.7 yards. If he gets into the endzone he’ll likely be one of the better plays on the slate.
Van Jefferson $6,400
Jefferson has been the WR1 for the team since Kupp went down. Since then he has a 20% target share, leads the team in air yards and has averaged 13.6 yards per reception.
Tyler Higbee $6,200
Higbee hasn’t been as reliable as he was earlier in the season. He does however have target totals of 5, 8 and 8 in three of his last four games. The Raiders are bottom 10 against the TE.
Bryce Perkins $6,000
Obviously Perkins is only a play if Wolford can’t play. He offers some rushing upside averaging just under six yards a carry over the last three weeks.
Kyren Williams $5,400
Kyren only had three carries last week but had 11 and 7 carries in the previous two weeks. He had at least 35 rushing yards in each of those games. He is the preferred passing down back and if the Rams get down he’ll see more opportunities against the Raiders who have allowed the 4th most receptions to RBs this season.
Ben Skowronek $4,800
It seemed that Skowronek could’ve had a larger role when Kupp went down but that hasn’t really been the case. He’s only had seven total receptions in his last four games and failed to get more than five yards in two of them. He’ll be on the field but should only be used to round out a lineup. I wouldn’t expect much upside.
Tutu Atwell $4,400
Atwell gets limited touches but has big play upside. He’s averaged 26.6 yards per reception over the last three weeks. He actually had four rushing attempts last week as well. Since Kupp has been out, he has been targeted on 25.8% of his routes.
Ameer Abdullah $3,000
Abdullah is the passing option of the Vegas backfield. If they’re playing with a lead his touches could be limited. He’s had at least three catches in four of his last six games.
Brandon Powell $2,400
Powell had four receptions and three catches last week for 84 total yards from scrimmage. He’s the cheapest option of a Rams receiver corp that doesn’t exactly impress.
Zamir White $1,200
White will get a couple carries but really would need Jacobs to be injured to have any significant value.
Keelan Cole $200
Cole will get snaps but has failed to top two receptions in a game. He’s a dirt cheap option to pay up for the studs. You’re basically hoping for a couple of catches.
