Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Injuries to Monitor
Jakobi Meyers was limited in last weeks game due to a shoulder injury. He’s also been limited in practice but is expected to play.
Devante Parker has been dealing with a knee injury and has been limited at practice.
Damien Harris has a thigh injury and will not play.
Overview
The Bills head to New England to face the Patriots this week. It’s interesting because generally these Thursday Night games are a short week for the teams involved. Both of these teams had a full week to prepare since playing on Thanksgiving. Add the fact that they’re division rivals and this one could get interesting.
The Bills have been susceptible on defense of late and Mac Jones actually looked pretty good in this one. Very few teams have been able to corral Josh Allen but you would think the Patriots at home would have a chance. I do however like the over in this one. Allen will be the highest owned Captain and I will have him there in some smaller fields but will use him as a flex only in most of my larger field lineups. I think you can make a case for playing Diggs as captain and excluding Allen in that lineup in hopes Diggs gets all the production. Gabe Davis is a great play because of his big play upside but he could possibly be more popular than Diggs because of the savings. It would definitely be different. Rhamondre will be the most popular Patriot and I do like him but also like Jakobi Meyers quite a bit as well. The rest of the pass catchers are very very hard to predict so I’ll sprinkle them in with Parker likely being my highest owned outside of Meyers.
Captain/Flex
Josh Allen $18,300/$12,200
Allen has at least 25 points in all but two games. He’s the highest scoring QB this year. He has a safe floor averaging 51 rushing yards per game. New England has allowed the 6th most rushing yards per game to QBs.
Stefon Diggs $17,400/$11,600
Diggs has the most fantasy points, 2nd most targets and receptions and 3rd most receiving yards among WRs. He’s really good and has a really good QB, sooo yeah.
Rhamondre Stevenson $15,600/$10,400
Since Week 6, Rhamondre has the 3rd most targets receptions and receiving yards among RBs. He’s averaging 18.3 touches per game this season. The Bills are allowing 5 yards per carry and 8.3 yards per reception to RBs over the last five weeks.
Gabe Davis $12,000/$8,000
Davis can break a slate on limited catches which makes him a great captain option. He’s averaging 19.7 yards per reception. He can also put up a dud so keep that in mind. He has five games with 65 or more yards and five with less than 40 yards.
The Rest
Mac Jones $9,400
Jones is coming off his best game if the season throwing for almost 400 yards and two TDs. The last three QBs to face the Bills were Cousins who threw for 357 yards, Brissett who threw for 332 and 3 TDs and Goff who just threw for 240 and 2 TDs. Jones will throw north of 30 passes in this game and could actually be a nice low owned play and possibly even a Captain in large fields.
Jakobi Meyers $7,200
Meyers is easily the best receiver on the team with a 22% target share. He’s been targeted on 25% of his routes run. The Bills have allowed the 2nd most yards to WRs over the last four weeks.
Devin Singletary $7,000
Singletary has at least 14 touches in three straight games. With the amount of work he gets and the amount of redzone trips that this Bills offense has he always has a chance at a TD. With that being said, the Patriots have allowed the least points to RBs this season and have only allowed one TD to RBs.
Isaiah McKenzie $6,800
People were probably kicking themselves for not playing McKenzie on Thanksgiving after having his best game of the season. He had 10 targets last week but only averaged 4.4 targets in his previous eight games. Being tied to Allen always provides some upside but I could see McKenzie being popular, possibly even at captain. He’s definitely worth a play but be mindful of his ownership.
Dawson Knox $6,200
Knox has been your typical up and down TE averaging 32.7 yards per game. He does however have the benefit of playing with Josh Allen which makes a shot at a TD a weekly possibility. The Patriots have allowed the 2nd most TDs to TEs this season.
DeVante Parker $5,600
Parker is a consistent big play threat averaging 20 yards per reception. He’s had at least 60 yards in four of his seven games. The Bills have allowed the most points and TDs to opposing WRs over the last four weeks.
Nelson Agholor $4,800
As we saw last week, Agholor is good for a blowup game every now and then. He had six catches for 65 yards and a TD on eight targets. I could see him getting a little popular because of last weeks production. He was more involved because of the Meyers injury so I wouldn’t expect eight targets but could be worth a shot at sub $5k.
Hunter Henry $4,600
Henry had at least three receptions and 50 yards in four of his last seven games. He’s been more involved lately and is a talented player at a decent price. The Bills have yet to allow a TD to a TE.
James Cook $3,600
Cook only had two carries and two catches last week. He had a season/career high 11 carries and 86 yards in Week 11. If the Bills get out to a lead he will be more involved and is a usable piece at a cheap price.
Nyheim Hines $3,000
Hines hasn’t been involved since joining the team. His salary is a bit too high for me considering his usage. You’re really hoping for an injury for him to pay off.
Down here you’re just hoping for a couple catches or maybe a long one and some salary savings.
Kendrick Bourne $2,200
As is the case with most of the Patriot pass catchers, Bourne is a pretty thin play. He could get a couple catches or could get zero. He’s only topped 40 yards twice this season.
Jonnu Smith $1,400
Smith had 40 yards two weeks ago but was not targeted last week. He could get a few catches or could get you a zero.
Tyquan Thornton $400
Thornton hasn’t really been involved lately. He has big play upside but it really is just a dart throw.
JJ Taylor $200
Taylor had 10 carries last week. They didn’t result in many yards but he was still involved. He will get touches and offers some serious salary savings.
