Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Overview
As ugly as this game looks, it can’t be worse than last week. Washington heads to Chicago to take on the Bears. Washington has score 18 points per game while allowing 25.6 points per game. The Bears have scored 17.2 points and have allowed 21.2 points
Chicago is better against the pass than the run but I’ll likely be focusing on the Washington passing game. Washington’s backfield is tricky with the return of Robinson, he out carried Gibson 9-3 but McKissic was involved as well. Each received around a third if the snaps. I prefer Robinson in hopes he gets the goalline work. I really like Samuel at captain because of the savings. Montgomery is probably the top captain option from the Bears due to the usage. I wouldn’t mind Fields at captain in larger fields.
Captain/Flex
Carson Wentz $15,900/$10,600
After two duds, Wentz looked much better last week throwing for 359 yards which was his third game with over 300 yards this year. It was also his third game with multiple TD passes.
David Montgomery $15,600/$10,400
Montgomery came right back and resumed his workhorse roll playing 72% of snaps and receiving 16 touches. He’s had at least 16 touches in every game other than Week 3 when he left early with an injury. He also had a season high four receptions last week.
Curtis Samuel $12,300/$8,200
Samuel is tied for the 10th most targets in the NFL. He’s averaged nine targets per game and has at least six receptions in four games.
The Rest
Justin Fields $10,000
Fields had his two highest passing yard totals the last two weeks and had over 20 pass attempts in each of them. Washington has allowed the 2nd most passing TDs this year. Fields could actually be a good captain option in larger field contests.
Terry McLaurin $9,000
McLaurin hasn’t been getting the target share he’s used to but his 14.3 yard average depth of target gives him some upside. He’s had at least four receptions and 75 yards in three if his five games.
Darnell Mooney $7,600
Mooney has at least five targets in each of his last three games. He has a 25% target share. He has big play upside with 17.3 yards per reception. Washington has allowed the most fantasy points to WRs this year.
Brian Robinson $6,600
Robinson played 30% of snaps, only two less snaps than Gibson. He had nine carries. Not bad for his first game back from injury. I expect him to get more involved as the season goes on. The Bears have allowed the most rushing yards this season.
JD McKissic $6,400
McKissic played the most snaps of the three RBs last week. He’s had at least seven targets and five receptions in three of his games.
Antonio Gibson $8,600
It seems as though Gibson is being fazed out. He only had three carries. With that being said he could be a good play with his big play ability and the fact that the Bears are terrible against the run.
Khalil Herbert $6,200
With Montgomery back, Herbert is relegated to the clear backup position. He only played 28% of snaps last week and only had 4 rushing attempts. Washington is also pretty good against the run so I’d only play Herbert as a lottery ticket to get different in larger fields.
Cole Kmet $5,200
Season highs for Knet last week with four receptions and 45 yards. While that’s not that impressive it could be more than enough on a one game slate.
Dyami Brown $5,000
Brown had a ridiculous game catching two balls turning both into TDs and 105 yards. His big play upside makes him a good showdown play but because of last week he’ll likely be popular.
Equanimeous St Brown $4,800
There’s a lack of value on the slate and if it’s lower scoring, St Brown is definitely viable. He’s run the third most routes, has the 3rd most targets on the Bears and has 18.3 yards per reception.
CHI DEF $4,000
WAS DEF $3,600
John Bates $3,000
Bates has at least three receptions the last two weeks. He did have six targets two weeks ago.
Velus Jones $2,600
After missing the first three weeks, Jones finally got his first target of the season and turned it into a TD. He could get more involved and offers some salary savings.
