Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
QB
Derek Carr $6,200
Arizona was horrific defensively last week. Granted that was against Mahomes but Carr threw multiple TDs and 295 yards againsta far better defense. This game has the highest projected total so He’ll have plenty of pass attempts and they have the highest projected team total on the slate.
Trey Lance $5,700
In three career starts, Lance has averaged 58 rushing yards. That’s basically his floor especially now that Eli Mitchell is out. Add that with even a little passing production and he easily pays off at his salary.
RB
Saquon Barkley $7,300
Saquon went of in week 1 finishing as the RB1. He had 24 total touches on 83% of snaps. The Panthers gave up 217 rushing yards last week which was the 2nd most of any team.
Joe Mixon $7,200
Mixon had 34 touches in Week 1, seven of which were receptions. He has one of the safest workloads in the NFL. Dallas allowed Fournette to run for 127 yards last week.
Leonard Fournette $6,700
Fournette had 21 carries last week and averaged over 6 yards a carry. Most of the passing game options for Tampa are dealing with injuries and Fournette will see plenty of opportunities against the Saints who allowed Patterson to go over 100 yards.
Darrell Henderson $5,700
Henderson played 82% of snaps and out touched Akers 18-3. He caught all five of his targets. He’ll get plenty of rush attempts this week with the Rams being double digit favorites against Atlanta.
Jeff Wilson $5,100
With Mitchell gone, Wilson will slot in as the team’s RB1. While being vultured by Lance and Deebo at the goaline caps his upside, that doesn’t matter for cash. He will have plenty of carries with the 49ers being heavy favorites at home.
WR
Davante Adams $8,600
Adams had 17 targets last week. Any concerns about his roll with the Raiders were quickly put to rest with the 48% target share. Arizona could not cover anyone on the Chiefs last week allowing five receiving TDs. Expect Adams to continue his dominance at probably his lowest price going forward.
Amon Ra St Brown $6,500
St Brown picked up where he left off last season totaling 12 targets. He’s now had seven straight games with double digit targets dating back to last year. He’s also scored in six of his last seven games.
Brandin Cooks $6,000
Cooks had a 33% target share and actually lead the league with 150 air yards last week. He already had double digit targets in Week 1 after having seven such games in 2021. The Broncos let Geno Smith throw multiple TDs last week so clearly Davis Mills can do the same.
Christian Kirk $5,700
Kirk established himself as the clear number 1 for the Jags. He tied for the 5th most targets in Week 1 with 12 which was a 31% target share. Also had the 4th most air yards and is playing in a game where they’ll be forced to play catch up.
Greg Dortch $3,500
Dortch surprisingly played on 91% of snaps last week, only three less than Marquise Brown. He ran a route on 41 of his 59 snaps and lead the team with nine targets. He turned that into seven receptions and even if he has half of that production it’s worth the price in cash. Make sure Rondale Moore is OUT if you are playing him.

Albert Okwuegbunam $3,700
Albert O ran the 3rd most routes among Denver pass catchers last week. He was targeted on 20% of his routes.
Juwan Johnson $2,500
Johnson had 5 targets last week and averaged 21.5 yards per reception. If he can even duplicate that line he pays off at this price.
Kylen Granson $2,600
Granson played more snaps than Mo Allie Cox and ran more routes. He had the 2nd most targets on the team in Week 1. If Pittman misses this game he will be locked into my cash lineup.
