Week 11 is here and the start/sit questions are ever so important. These are the most important weeks for many of us fantasy managers. Every point matters, luckily we only have to navigate through a few teams on bye weeks. With the Rams and Broncos on bye we will need to pivot off players like Cooper Kupp and Jerry Jeudy. Let’s take a look at a few options that we should consider and a few we should avoid this week.

Week 11 Start/Sit Quarterbacks

Start: Mac Jones(New England Patriots)

Mac Jones was the last first round quarterback drafted in April, however he has looked like the best one to date. Right now New England has Mac Jones playing at a high caliber for a rookie quarterback. This has translated to the fantasy realm, as he is currently QB20 averaging over 14 points a game.  Aside from two games he has posted double digit fantasy points each week. Coming off a game in week he threw for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns, I expect a similar if not better week in Week 11.

Playing the Atlanta Falcons this week is a great situation or this rookie quarterback. The Patriots are getting healthy and riding a four game win streak. Facing a defense that ranks 30th in the NFL in points to quarterbacks is a dream matchup. The Falcons currently allow 22 points per week to the position and I expect Mac Jones to finish Week 11 right in that area making him a must start in my week 11 start/sit’s.

Sit: Taylor Heinicke(Washington Football Team)

After a hot start scoring over 20 points in three of the first four weeks Taylor Heinicke has cooled off drastically. Since then he has only scored over 20 points in one week. Coming out of the bye week in Week 10 he looked solid, however he only managed 15 points in many scoring formats.

This week he will face off against the third best defense in points allowed to quarterbacks in the Carolina Panthers. Last week we say Colt McCoy struggle to move the ball and score points against this stout defense. I expect much of the same this week, the Panthers only allow 16.2 points a week to quarterbacks. I expect Heinicke to possibly finish under this mark this week. This makes him a must sit for mr in my Week 11 start/sits.

Week 11 Start/Sit Running Backs

Start: Leonard Fournette(Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Last week the Buccaneers came out pretty flat against the Washington Football Team. This  included running back Leonard Fournette who rushed for only 47 yards and caught 8 receptions for 45 yards. However in PPR formats this was still a solid performance of 17.2 points. This has been the story of Leonard Fournette all season, he has only had less than 10 PPR points twice in 9 games.

This week he will face off against a weak run defense in the New York. The Giants are allowing over 28 points to the position a week currently. This makes for a great matchup for him, along with the possibility that they lean on the runs after a poor outing form Brady last week. I expect Leonard Fournette to reach RB1 number sthis week and should be in your starting lineup.

Sit: Jordan Howard (Philadelphia Eagles)

After losing Miles Sanders to an injury the Eagles have used an RBBC to fill his role. Jordan Howard has emerged as the pure rushing and golaine back. He has seen no targets over the past three weeks. However he has produced two double digit PPR weeks, while scoring three touchdowns and rushing for over 200 yards.

THis week however he draws a tough matchup against the Saints. They currently only allow 19 PPR points to the position weekly. This is second best in the NFL, this is bad news for Jordan Howard. They have only allowed 483 yards rushing this season, and 4 touchdowns. This is the main reason I want to sit Jordan Howard this week, I expect the Eagles to struggle running the ball. This will lead to a poor performance for him and is why he is a must sit in my Week 11 start/sits.

Week 11 Start/Sit Wide Receivers

Start: Brandin Cooks (Houston Texans)

Brandin Cooks has been very up and down this season due to inconsistent quarterback play. In week 9 we saw Tyrod Taylor return and even though he struggled Brandin Cooks saw 14 targets. He took these for 6 receptions and 56 yards. All equalling 11.6 PPR points. It is clear Tyrod loves to target him, he saw 7 and then 14 in the first two games with Tyrof earlier this season. With a bye week under their belt I expect Brandin Cooks and Tyrod Taylor to be more on the same page this week.

Along with that they draw a favorable matchup against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans allow over 46 points to wide receivers currently a week in PPR. In a game that the titans will want to win in an inter divisional matchup, I expect a good amount of passing. All of this together makes Brandin Cooks a must start in my Week 11 start/sit list.

Sit: Mike Williams (Los Angeles Chargers)

Sadly the time has come, Mike Williams is no longer a safe start. Currently Mike Williams is riding a four game streak of sub 10 point performances. This is not great for a guy who burst onto the scene this season scoring 20 plus points in the first three games. The scariest thing is the targets, he has dipped from 10 plus to 5 and under at times. The opportunities are not there currently.

This week he faces off against a tough Steelers defense who does not allow a lot of points to wide receivers. They are currently middle of the league allowing over 36 points to the position. However the target share worries me with Mike Williams and I expect a lot of the same this week. Due to the pass rush I expect Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler to see most of the passing volume this week. For these reasons Mike Williams is a must sit for me.

Week 11 Start/Sit Tight Ends

Start: C.J. Uzomah (Cincinnati Bengals)

I am going back to the well here. I have mentioned C.J. Uzomah in a few articles this season. This is all due to the impressive season he is having, he is currently TE13 in PPR scoring. Throughout the season he has been a hard start at times though. Most of his points have come in a few blow up games. This tend to be ever few weeks in favorable matchups. The last being against the Ravens in Week 7, where he scored 21 PPR points.

This week he faces off against another defense who struggles covering tight ends. The Las Vegas Raiders allow the second most points to the tight end position weekly. They allow over 18 points a week currently. I expect a fairly back and fourth game this weekend. I expect C.J. Uzomah to see a decnet target share and score a touchdown. For this reason he is  a must start on my Week 11 start/sit list.

Sit: Dan Arnold (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Although it is clear that Dan Arnold is become a key part of the Jaguars offense, this week he may need to be a sit. Over the past three weeks he has seen 7 or more targets and produced over 60 yards a game. These have all come out to equal more than 10 PPR points each week. Making him a great stream or flex play.

THis week though he faces a tough 49ers defense who only allows 9 PPr points a week to the position. They have only allowed 294 yards to the position on the season. These are not great numbers for Dan Arnold. I expect him to be held in check and break his streak of double digit points. Due to this he is a must sit in almost all formats.
