We have hit the home stretch here for many fantasy leagues, its make it or break it. The start and sit decisions are that much more important as we search for those last few wins. I am here to give you a  start and sit for each position this week. Without further ado let’s get into it!

Start and Sit Quarterbacks

Start: Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins)

Coming off a tough matchup in Buffalo last week Tua Tagovailoa is looking to bounce back this week. The team around him is getting healthier, and helping improve the offense as a whole. Devante Parker returned last week and gave a nice boost to the passing game. This week the dolphins face off against the Houston Texans. Who allow the seventh most points to quarterbacks this season, averaging over 22 points a game. I expect the Dolphins to come out throwing this week, while leaning on Tua’s arm. With this I expect Tua Tagovailoa to have QB2 upside this week making him a must start.

Sit:  Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons)

The Atlanta Falcons have finally begun to right the ship the past few weeks. However with the unfortunate news with Calvin Ridley, I expect some more struggles to come in the passing game. Currently Matt Ryan is the QB20 on the season and a decnet QB2 start weekly. Although this week I would suggest against that, with the team missing Ridley I expect teams to key in on Kyle Pitts. This will mean Matt Ryan will have to look to Russell Gage and an unproven receiver core. On top of this the Falcons face the Saints who allow the seventh least amount of points to quarterbacks. As they average only 18 points to the position weekly. If possible I would avoid Matt Ryan this week.

Start and Sit Running Backs

Start: Zach Moss (Buffalo Bills)

The Buffalo Bills face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, this is a prime matchup for Zach Moss and Devin Singletary. Currently the Jaguars allow the third most points to the running back position weekly at 31.2 PPR points. Along with the fact the BIlls are a much better team, the game script will lean in favor of Zach Moss.I anticipate the Bills to get up early and will need to use the run game in the second half to help close the game out. Along with the fact he saw 7 targets last week, producing RB2 numbers this week is well within reach.  All of these factors make him a must start for me.

Sit: Adrian Peterson (Tennessee Titans)

Most likely you went out and spent a ton of faab on Adrian Peterson this week. THis is not all for nothing, however this week I am passing on the chace to play him. Two key factors for me are, it is his first week with the team and we don’t know what his role will be. We could see a lot of Jeremy McNichols they week or in the future, so until Adrian Peterson’s role is cemented he will be hard to rely on.  The second factor is that the Titans are facing off against a stout Rams defense, that got even better this week by adding Von Miller. The Rams are fourth best against running backs allowing only 20 points to the position weekly. With all of this in consideration I am choosing to sit Adrian Peterson this week.

Start and Sit Wide Receivers

Start: Jerry Jeudy (Denver Broncos)

Now in his second week back from injury Jerry Jeudy draws a great matchup in the Dallas Cowboys. The Broncos will need to throw a fair amount to keep pace with the Cowboys this week. WIth Trevon Diggs locking down the number one option for every team this season I expect Courtland Sutton to struggle. This should lead to more work for Jerry Jeudy, we saw the second receiver in Adam Thielen have a big game last week against these cowboys. Along with this the Cowboys are fourth worst in points allowed to wide receivers allowing over 43 points a week. This all adds up to create the perfect storm for a Jerry Jeudy breakout. I expect WR2 number sthis week making him a must start in all formats.

Sit: DeVonta Smith (Philadelphia Eagles)

On the surface a match up with the Los Angeles Chargers may look like a prime matchup for a wide receiver. However that’s not the case, currently the Chargers are the sixth best against wide receivers, only allowing 33 points to the position. Even though we could forcast a high scoring affair I think we see two defenses clamp down on these opposing offenses. Both teams are struggling on the offensive side of the ball right now to add fuel to the fire. I anticipate a low scoring game and little opportunity for DeVonta Smith to reach his upside this week. His floor currently is incredibly low, making him a must sit for me this week.

Start and Sit Tight Ends

Start: Mo Alie-Cox (Indianapolis Colts)

Last week was a down week for Mo Alie-Cox as he was blanked by the Titans, though he did still see four targets. Since week 4 Mo Alie-Cox has seen at least three targets a game and has scored four touchdowns. ALthough this are not crazy target numbers, they are reliable. In a good matchup this week facing the Jets who rank as the worst against tight ends this season. As they are allowing over 18 points per game to the position. I expect Carson Wentz to target him 3-5 times this week and possibly even score a touchdown. This all could equal out to low end TE1 numbers, making him a must start this week.

Sit: Jared Cook (Los Angeles Chargers)

This week may not be the best week for Eagles or Chargers fantasy assets. BOth teams have been struggling to find the mojo on offense. Even though we have seen two weeks of 7 and 5 targets for Jared Cook, I am avoiding him in a game I anticipate to be fairly low scoring. Even with a decnet target share Jared Cook has not produced over 25 yards the last two weeks, and has one touchdown. This lack of production concerns me now facing off against a team that only allows 13 points to the position weekly. Unless Jared Cook finds the endzone he has little value, which I do not anticipate happening this week. This is what makes him a sit for me this week.
