Week 7 Draftkings Cash Game Breakdown
Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WRs. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
QB
Lamar Jackson $7,400
vs Cincinnati
Lamar fell short last week in an absolute blowout where he was barely needed. It was his first week this year with less than 20 DraftKings points. He still ran for 51 yards and has averaged over 65 rushing yards per game. The rushing gives him a safe floor while still providing the upside of any of the top QBs.
Matthew Stafford $7,100
vs Detroit
Revenge game aside, Stafford is going to destroy the Lions. The Rams showed last week no matter the game situation they want to throw the ball which gives Stafford a safe floor. He’s averaged 33 attempts per game. The Lions give up a league worst 9.8 yards per pass attempt.
@ Las Vegas
Hurts has scored no less than 21.8 points on DraftKings. He’s averaged 50 yards rushing per game this year. The Raiders are bottom 10 against the run. They’ve given up an average of 139 yards on the ground over the last four weeks.
RB
Darrell Henderson $6,600
Henderson has averaged 15.5 touches a game. The Lions have allowed 31.9 points per game to RBs on the year. The Lions have also allowed an average of 150 yards rushing over the last three games.
Chuba Hubbard $6,100
@ NY Giants
After a slow start Hubbard seems to be gaining confidence and the Panthers are gaining confidence in him as well. They’ve talked about getting him the ball more. He’s averaged 23 touches a game the last two weeks compared to just 29 combined in the previous two. In the last two games Hubbard has scored a TD or had 100 yards. He gets a Giants team who has given up the fourth most yards in the ground.
D’Andre Swift $6,000
@ LA Rams
The King of garbage time should have plenty of it this week. The Lions are 15 point underdogs against the Rams. Swift has racked up the targets and receptions late while trailing. He has the second most targets(42) and is tied for the most receptions(34) among RBs.
Darrel Williams $5,800
@Tennessee
With no CEH, Williams made a case that he should be the RB1 over Clyde. He received 21 carries last week, Clyde’s season high was 17. He also had 3 catches which matched CEH’s season high as well. Williams also flashed his TD upside scoring twice. 20 plus touches in a top tier offense at under $6k is ridiculous.
WR
vs Washington
Adams is 2nd in targets and air yards. He’s tied for most receptions and is facing a Washington team who’s given up the most yards and TDs through the air.
Cooper Kupp $8,400
vs Detroit
Calvin Ridley $6,600
@ Miami
Ridley has been a disappointment so far based on expectations. He’s had double digit targets and at least seven receptions in each of his last three games. Miami has given up the fourth most yards through the air.
Sterling Shepard $5,600
vs Carolina
After missing two games, Shepard stormed back into action with 14 targets and 10 receptions. In the three full games he’s played this year, Shepard has averaged 11 targets, 8.6 receptions for 94.3 yards.
Rashod Bateman $3,400
vs Cincinnati
Bateman made his debut after dealing with a groin issue. He played 65 percent of snaps which was only behind Brown for WRs. He was tied for the most targets with Mark Andrews right away. To put Bateman’s price in perspective, Watkins has been an average salary of $5,100.
TE
Mike Gesicki $4,700
At a position where you’re hoping for a TD, Gesicki is a rare option who’s getting weekly opportunities. He’s averaged 8.5 targets and 6.75 receptions over the last four games.
Ricky Seals Jones $3,700
@ Green Bay
He’s played over 90 percent of snaps since Logan Thomas went out. 15 combined targets the last two weeks with 99 yards and a TD.
DEF
TEN $2,100
