Week 6 is here and with it comes bye weeks making the start and sit decisions even harder.  No worries I am here with a few starts and sits for each position to hopefully help you navigate Week 6. Hopefully resulting in a victory Tuesday! Let’s get right into it!

Start and Sit Quarterbacks

Start: Taylor Heinicke (QB) Washington Football Team

This week the Football Team faces off against the Kansa City Chiefs, so we know will get a shootout here. Currently Heinicke is QB15 averaging over 18 PPR points a week. I expect this to continue in Week 6. The Chiefs allow the most fantasy points to quarterbacks currently at 31.1 per game. With the need to be throwing the ball all over the yard to keep up with the Chiefs. Along with his rushing ability we could see him slide into the endzone on the ground and threw the air. QB2 numbers are a lock for him, making him a must start in Week 6 for SuperFlex or 2QB players.

Sit: Ryan Tannehill (QB) Tennessee Titans

One of the most disappointing fantasy starts this year is from all the titans aside from Derrick Henry. Sadly I think this conuntines in Week 6. Ryan Tannehill is currently the QB20 averaging only 17 fantasy points agame. He will be lucky to get to that this week facing a stroud Buffalo Bills defense. Currently the Bills are the best against quarterbacks only allowing 12.8 fantasy points a week to the position. They held Patrick Mahomes to his lowest season total last week of 21 points. Long story short I am avoiding Ryan Tannehill if at all possible.

Start and Sit Running Backs

Start: Myles Gaskin (RB) Miami Dolphins

Last week we saw Myles Gaskin Explode for a big week on many of our benches I assume. He saw a very low 5 rushing attempts for 25 yards, however he saw 10 targets which he had 10 receptions for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns. This week they face the Jaguars and I expect them to use Gaskin in the passing game again especially if Devante Parker misses the game with his injury. Currently the Jaguars are 8th worst against running backs allowing over 28 points to the position weekly. I expect Gaskin to see a decent work load and put up RB2 type numbers this week. This makes him a must start this week.

Sit: Josh Jacobs (RB) Las Vegas Raiders

This year has been a down year for Josh Jacobs, facing injury and the addition of Kenyan Drake. Last week we saw him post one of his better weeks against Chicago. He took 15 attempts for 48 yards and a touchdown. Along with 4 receptions for 19 yards on 5 targets. However this may be his ceiling this week in what has become a slightly pass heavy offense. THe Raiders travel to the mile high city to face off against the Broncos. They currently rank 3rd best against running backs only allowing 13.6 PPR points a week. I expect some down play from a team dealing with off the field issues. So in this matchup I am avoiding Josh Jacobs, making him a must sit for me.

Start and Sit Wide Receivers

Start: Jakobi Meyers (WR) New England Patriots

Jakobi Meyers is a PPR machine currently, he has had three double digit point weeks this year. All with no touchdowns scored, this could be the week though! Playing host to the Dallas Cowboys, New England will need to pass more this week. I expect Jakobi Meyers to have double digit targets this week, the top two corners on the outside will lock down Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne. Mac Jones will need to target the slot more this week. Along with this Dallas currently ranks fourth worst to wide receivers allowing over 46 PPR points a week. I’m all in on Jakobi Meyers having a WR2 finish this week making him a must start.

Sit: Tim Patrick (WR) Denver Broncos

Although he has filled in for Jerry Jeudy very admiralty, this is not the week to fir up Tim Patrick. The Broncos face a much improved Las Vegas Raiders defense this week. They currently rank fourth best against wide receivers only allowing 29.7 PPR points a week. We also saw a shift in target share last week, as Courtland Sutton was the guy and only guy in that passing game. I also expect a heavy dose of Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams this week. Making Tim Patrick almost unstartable unless your in a super deep league. If possible sit him this week!

Start and Sit Tight Ends

Start: Zach Ertz (TE) Philadelphia Eagles

I know the dreaded Thursday start, Zach Ertz is in a prime spot to explode tonight. Facing off against the Tampa Buccaneers who rank 6th worst against tight ends allowing over 17 PPR points to the position weekly. I expect the front four of Tampa to pressure Jalen Hurts a lot tonight. He will need a dump off and Zach Ertz can be that guy. With Dallas Goedert out on COVID list he will see all the tight end targets. I expect top 10 numbers this week with one touchdown. He is a must Start in what will be a high scoring affair.

Fantasy football

Sit:  Gerald Everett (TE) Seattle Seahawks

Before going out on the COVID list Gerald Everett was making strides in the passing game for the seahawks. Now looking to return I am not as excited. The team lost Russell Wilson for some time now. So with Geno Smith at the helm I expect a lot more Alex Collins and Chris Carson weekly. On top of this they face the Pittsburgh Steelers this week who rank 8th best against tight ends this year allowing only 8.8 PPR points a week to the position. Until we see what the offense looks like under Smith I am sitting Everett, unless he is my only option.
