Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Pick-Ups
Welcome all fantasy owners to the end of the fantasy regular season. With only three weeks left to prepare your team for playoffs, the waiver wire has never been so crucial to your fantasy league. In this article I will go position by position to make certain that your team is lined up to win these last few games. Let’s get into it.
*All statistics and information are based on 12-team PPR leagues*
Week 11 Waiver Wire Rankings!
QB: Derek Carr, QB, Las Vegas Raiders (55.2%)
Yes, Derek Carr is my top waiver wire QB for Week 11. Also, yes, Derek Carr has not thrown for over 200 yards the past three games. Despite the poor performances in recent weeks, Carr is a must start in Week 11 against the Chiefs. In Week 5, Carr defeated the wicked Patrick Mahomes, throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns at Kansas City. Now, it is time for the Raiders to host the Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium. Expect the Chiefs and Raiders to have another shootout while Patrick Mahomes is eager for his revenge, certainly making Carr have to air the ball out.
RB: Salvon Ahmed, RB, Miami Dolphins (12.9%)
Salvon Ahmed was clearly the lead back for the Dolphins in Week 10. The rookie from Washington received his first legitimate workload and did not disappoint. Ahmed registered 21 carries for 85 yards and a score, adding a reception for five yards. The Dolphins have struggled to find their main back ever since Myles Gaskin’s injury. Matt Breida, who has not played since Week 8, was inactive Week 10. Even if Breida is healthy for Week 11, the Dolphins have clearly found their Gaskin replacement. Expect a solid performance from Salvon Ahmed in Week 11 facing the Broncos, who just allowed 200+ yards and four scores on the ground.
WR: Josh Reynolds, WR, Los Angeles Rams (6.3%)
Three of the past four weeks, Josh Reynolds has recorded four or more receptions along with double figure games. This past week was Reynolds’s best performance thus far, snagging eight balls for 94 yards. He led Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods in catches, targets, and yards. Reynolds is increasing his volume as the season continues and can be inserted in lineups for Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
WR: Sammy Watkins, WR, Kansas City Chiefs (31.8%)
The injury of Sammy Watkins led to him being dropped earlier in the year in most leagues. Watkins is registered in nearly one-third of leagues and is a must claim in Week 11. In the six games that Watkins was able to play, three of them were four receptions or more for the talented wideout. Patrick Mahomes will refuse to lose a second game this season, especially to the same Las Vegas Raiders team. With the chiefs having a Week 10 bye, this gives extra time for Watkins to heal as well as extra time for him to refresh his memory on the playbook. If Watkins is a go in Week 11, he is a must claim for all leagues.
TE: Irv Smith Jr, TE, Minnesota Vikings (4.8%)
Thank you all for not listening to me in my Week 10 waiver wire article as Irv Smith Jr was unavailable against the Chicago Bears Monday night. An unexpected groin injury led the Vikings to lean on tight ends, Kyle Rudolph and Tyler Conklin. However, if Smith Jr is healthy this week, expect a solid performance out of him due to the poor Dallas Cowboys defense. The Cowboys have struggled against the pass throughout this season and the Vikings look to continue their three game win streak this week at U.S. Bank Stadium.
