2026 NFL Week 6 Best Bets
2026 NFL Week 6 Best Bets
We are firmly in the middle of October, signaling the middle of the second quarter of the NFL season. The leaves are changing. Bye weeks are ramping up. And we have 14 hours of nonstop NFL action starting Sunday morning. Six of the 14 games this week will be played between divisional rivals. The third and final London game will commence this weekend. Teams will continue to separate themselves in hopes for the playoffs and chasing a Lombardi. Others will be looking at mock drafts in the next few weeks. Here are my favorite week 6 NFL bets.

Week 5: 2-2 (-0.25 units)
YTD: 7-8 (-2.07 units)
Houston Texans (1-4) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1)*
Jacksonville -2.5; O/U 42.5
Jacksonville -2.5 (-115)
Under 42.5 (-108)
* Game played in London, England
Another London game, another opportunity to take the under. This time, at Wembley Stadium. Over the last ten years, games played at Wembley Stadium average 38.3 PPG. In the last ten, the total average is 35.5 PPG, with the total clearing this number just once. I would argue the defense is the best side of the ball for both teams. Jacksonville’s offense has been strong under second-year head coach Liam Coen, but their defense has the best run defense (63.8 YPG; 2.9 YPC), second most turnovers forced (5), and second in defensive scoring (14 PPG). The Texans’ rush defense ranks third in 78.4 YPG and 3.3 YPC, which could bode well against a Jaguars offense that is top-10 in rush attempts at 20 per game.
Jacksonville benefits by already being in London from last week. This is uncommon, just the third time in the United Kingdom, as teams typically get a bye after playing an international game (sorry Philadelphia; after their game in London last week, they play Carolina off a bye this week). This happened 2023 and 2024, both coming with the Jaguars. They won both games, one by 5 and one by 16. I think this is another advantage for Jacksonville. I’m on two plays for this one: Jaguars and the under.
New York Jets (2-3) vs. New England Patriots (3-2)
New England -7.5; O/U 43.5
Over 43.5 (-115)
New England (-105)
Drake Maye seems to have figured it out after a shaky start. Through the first three games after the Super Bowl appearance, Maye threw for 63.8% completion rate, 7.3 YPA, one touchdown and six interceptions. The last two games, Maye is completing 67.6% of his attempts for 9.1 YPA, seven touchdowns and one interception. Now, he gets a divisional opponent in the Jets. And while we can complain about New England’s favorable schedule last year, their division never changes. Since the start of last year, the Patriots are 5-1-1 ATS and 6-1 SU in the division. Maye completed 80% of his attempts last year against the Jets for six touchdowns and no interceptions. I think the train keeps rolling for the Patriots, and I’m on the over and Pats this week.
