2025 NFL Week 4 Best Bets

2025 NFL Week 4 Best Bets

As the calendar turns to week 4 of the NFL season, we have another full 16 game slate. This is the last time we will have a full slate until Thanksgiving. And to make it better, it starts with a kickoff in Dublin, Ireland at 9:30 ET. A full 14+ hour day filled with football. It doesn’t get much better than this. Here are my favorite week 4 NFL bets.

Week 3: 2-3 (-1.27 units)
Year to Date: 7-5 (+1.45 units)

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) vs. Minnesota Vikings (2-1)

Minnesota -2.5; O/U 40.5

Minnesota -2.5 (-115)
Under 41.5 (-118)

The Steelers did not arrive to Dublin until Friday. Aaron Rodgers played against the Vikings’ led Brian Flores defense last year in London. Rodgers completed just 53.7% of his 54 attempts for 4.52 YPA, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Since Flores joined Minnesota as their defensive coordinator in 2023, the under is 9-2 against AFC opponents. Minnesota has allowed 15.5 PPG to AFC opponents in that span.

Minnesota will start backup Carson Wentz at quarterback. While the Vikings scored 48 points last week against Cincinnati, 14 were accounted for by the defense, specifically Isaiah Rodgers. Wentz did not have to do much in that one, and now gets another week with first team reps. Pittsburgh benefitted last week from five total turnovers by New England. I don’t expect Wentz to come anywhere near that total. I’m on the Vikings to cover and the under to cash as the NFL goes to Ireland.

Indianapolis Colts (3-0) vs. Los Angeles Rams (2-1)

Los Angeles -3.5; O/U 49.5

Los Angeles -3.5 (-110)

The Colts have handled business against two of the worst teams in the league, the Dolphins and Titans. They benefitted from a late game blunder against Denver that gave them a second opportunity at a game-winning field goal. Now they go into Los Angeles to face a Rams team that could very well be 3-0. The Rams are 10-5-2 against the AFC since the start of 2022. The Colts under Shane Steichen against the spread against NFC opponents? 3-7 ATS. I’m on the Rams to cover at home.

Washington Commanders (2-1) vs. Atlanta Falcons (1-2)

Atlanta -1.5; O/U 43.5

Under 43.5 (-112)

The Falcons have struggled with quarterback play this year, as it was shown in a 30-point shutout loss last week. The Commanders are without quarterback Jayden Daniels, wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown, along with running back Austin Ekeler. I believe this could turn into a rock fight and only one team may get to 20 points. For the injury concerns and poor quarterback play between these two teams, I’m on the under.

Outright Underdogs (.5 Units):
Week 3: 0-2 (-1.00 units)
Year to Date: 1-5 (-1.93 units)
New York (A) @ Miami +130

I question why the Dolphins should be favored against anyone. Maybe because they hung around with Buffalo on a short rest last Thursday? They have the league’s worst defense by a significant margin. And while the Jets are also 0-3, they at least led late in two games. I’m on the Jets to win their first game of the year on Monday night.
