2025 NFL Week 2 Best Bets

2025 NFL Week 2 Best Bets

It took four days to cover the first week of the NFL season, but it left us with fireworks. Down to the wire finishes in Atlanta, New York, and Seattle. A massive comeback win on both Sunday and Monday night football. Some teams seemed to live up to the preseason hype, while others fell short of expectations. How will teams fare in the second week? A heavy early slate will kick us off for Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season. Here are my favorite week 2 NFL bets.

Week 1: 3-1 (+1.92 units)

Cleveland Browns (0-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (0-1)

Baltimore -11.5; O/U 45.5

Baltimore: Team Total Over 28.5 (-108)

While this is a key football number, I still like the Ravens to clear this in Week 2. Since the start of 2023, the Ravens have lost eight regular season games. The following week, the Ravens are 7-1 and averaging 30.4 PPG. They have cleared 29 points in four games. In his last five games against Cleveland, Lamar Jackson has seven touchdowns to just two interceptions, while rushing for at least 40 yards in four games. I think the Ravens bounce back in a big way in their home opener.

New York Giants (0-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (0-1)

Dallas -4.5; O/U 44.5

Dallas -4.5 (-120)

Dak Prescott is a perfect 13-0 against the Giants since his second year in the league. 11 of the 13 have come by at least five points, including the last six. Dallas played well offensively, and held the defending champs in check after their banner night celebration. Meanwhile, the Giants struggled in Russell Wilson’s first start. They could move to Jaxon Dart or Jameis Winston in this one, but if Wilson finishes the game, I like Dallas to win in their home opener.

Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1)

Kansas City +1.5; O/U 46.5

Under 46.5 (-102)

Matt Nagy returned to the Chiefs after his departure from Chicago in 2023. Since then, the Chiefs are averaging 23.4 PPG in home contests, and the Under is 13-6. Xavier Worthy was downgraded to out on Saturday, and Rashee Rice is still serving his suspension. The Eagles allowed just 18.3 PPG last year to AFC teams with Vic Fangio. I’m expecting this one to be a defensive slugfest in Arrowhead, and am on the under in the rematch of the big game.

Outright Underdogs (.5 Units):
Week 1: 0-2 (-1.00 units)
Jacksonville @ Cincinnati +142

We were on the Browns last week. Despite the loss, Cleveland outgained Cincinnati 327-141. Joe Burrow and the Bengals are now 2-9 SU in the first two weeks of the season. Those two wins came by three in overtime and one point. I think Jacksonville pulls the upset in Cincinnati.

Tampa Bay @ Houston +114

A homecoming game (of sorts) for Baker Mayfield. The AFC South was abysmal against the NFC last season, going a combined 3-17 across the division. Houston had question marks on offense last week, failing to score a touchdown while averaging 4.65 yards per play. I’m on the Buccaneers for the upset in week 2.
