2025 NFL Week 14 Best Bets

2025 NFL Week 14

A full 16- game slate had plenty to offer in week 13. Seven of the 16 games resulted in an upset, along with plenty of outcomes to shift the playoff picture. The calendar has turned to December for the first full week of the NFL season. Here are my week 14 best bets.

Week 13: 3-2 (+0.83 units)
Year to Date: 32-20-1 (+9.93 units)

San Francisco 49ers (8-4) vs. Cleveland Browns (3-8)

Cleveland +5.5; O/U 35.5
Cleveland +5.5 (-110)

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) vs. Baltimore Ravens (6-6)

Baltimore -6; O/U 42.5

Pittsburgh +6
Under 42.5 (+105)

I by no means believe the Steelers are better than the Ravens. But I believe in two things in this rivalry: back the underdog, and expect it to be low scoring.

The Ravens defense turned the corner after the bye, allowing just 16.6 PPG in their last six. That includes 32 being hung on them Thanksgiving evening, a night where the Bengals forced four fumbles and intercepted Lamar Jackson once. Still, the Ravens held Cincinnati to 12 points off those turnovers. In his six starts against Pittsburgh, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens average 21.5 PPG.

Since Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh began coaching against each other, the underdog is 24-7-3 ATS. And the Steelers are a team you can set your watch to: they are not a good team, but just when you start to doubt them, they make you believe again. I’m on the underdog in this one, and taking the under with it.

Houston Texans (7-5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (6-6)

Kansas City -3.5; O/U 41.5

Under 41.5 (-108)

Both teams have seen the under cash in four of their last five. Kansas City will be without multiple pieces on their offensive line. As the calendar turns to December, the Chiefs’ defense comes to life. Last year in the month of December, the Chiefs allowed just 13.3 PPG. Under Demeco Ryans, the Texans allow just 21.2 PPG in the month of December. I envision this one being full of long drives that drain the clock in a close Sunday night matchup. I’m on the under in this one.

Outright Underdogs (.5 Units):
Year to Date: 4-16 (-5.63 units)
Jacksonville vs. Indianapolis +110

The Jaguars have had the Colts number over the last decade, winning the last XX in Jacksonville. Sauce Gardner is out again for the Colts, while Daniel Jones continues to play with a fibula injury. I’m on the Jaguars to pull a slight upset at home.

New York Jets vs. Miami +124

Tua Tagovailoa is 7-0 against the Jets in his career, but is 0-8 in cold weather games (40 degrees or below). I’m on the latter trend to continue as the Jets continue to improve in Aaron Glenn’s first season at the helm.
