2024 NFL Week 13 Best Bets

After six teams were on a bye in Week 12, we get a full 16-game slate for Week 13 spanned across four days. Six of those 16 games will be see divisional opponents square off. It’s the first Sunday of December, signaling the final stretch before the playoffs. Here are my favorite Week 13 NFL bets.

Week 12: 2-1 (+.85 units)
Year to Date: 23-22-1 (-1.51 units)

Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (4-7)

Cincinnati -3; O/U 47

Pittsburgh +3 (-112)
Under 47 (-110)

The Steelers lost a surprising Thursday Night Football game last week in Cleveland. But they had a lot going against them in that one. They were on a short week, having just played their division rival Ravens three days prior. The loss to Cleveland was the third game in 10 days for Pittsburgh. Now they find themselves as an Underdog for the fifth time this year; they have won and covered the previous four. Pittsburgh is 23-14-1 ATS as an Underdog since 2021.

In the last 20 AFC North games for the Steelers, dating back to the start of 2021, the game total average is just 37.4 PPG. Just three of those 20 have eclipsed this number. I’m on the Steelers and the Under in this AFC North showdown.

Los Angeles Rams (5-6) vs. New Orleans Saints (4-7)

New Orleans +2.5; O/U 49.5

Los Angeles -2.5 (-118)

The Saints won their first two games under interim head coach Darren Rizzi, but have allowed over 900 yards combined in those contests. Before going up against the Eagles last week, the Rams had won four of their last five off the bye. The Rams’ defense has taken a turn for the better since the bye; during their first five games, the Rams allowed 27.8 PPG with their opponents scoring at least 24 in each game. Since the bye, it’s dropped to 22.8 PPG. I like the Rams to go into New Orleans and hand coach Rizzi his first loss.

Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) vs. Baltimore Ravens (8-4)

Baltimore -2.5; O/U 50.5

Baltimore -2.5 (-118 )
Over 50.5 ( -112)

The Eagles are on a seven-game winning streak, averaging 30 PPG in that span. Baltimore’s defense is allowing 25.8 PPG in their last eight and rank 23rd in scoring defense.

Lamar Jackson now has 26 career starts against the NFC. The Ravens are 23-3 in those contests and averaging 31.1 PPG in their last 11. Baltimore’s game totals have hit or cleared 51 in seven of their last eight, and the Over is 10-2 in Ravens games this year. I think both trends continue, with the Ravens covering a high scoring affair.

Outright Underdogs (.5 Units):
Week 11: 0-1 (-.5 units)
Year to Date: 8-13 (-.72 units)
Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati +130

The Steelers have won four straight as an underdog this season, and are 6-4 in their last ten road AFC North games. I’m on the Steelers in the upset.

Arizona @ Minnesota +136

Arizona is another team that has done well as an underdog this season, winning in five of eight. The Cardinals are coming off a bye and the Vikings are dealing with injuries on both sides of the ball. I like Arizona for the upset.
