Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Overview
The Dallas Cowboys head to Tennessee to face the Titans. The Cowboys have clinched a playoff spot but will be motivated to push towards a home game in the playoffs. I could see them just going through the motions on the short week trying to escape with the easy win. The Titans are a sinking ship after losing the lead in the division. Malik Willis at the helm doesn’t make matters any better. This game doesn’t matter much for them since next week against the Jaguars is essentially a playoff game.
I like the Cowboys to get out to a big lead here but could see the Titans having some production in garbage time. Dak and Ceedee are definitely captain options with how terrible the Titans secondary has been. That also could make Gallup a sneaky option. Zeke could be a captain option if Pollard is out. Henry is always an option because of his upside but it looks like he might miss this game. I will say that the Cowboys defense is definitely a flex play and possibly a captain option but could be a popular one. I’m playing this as a Dallas blowout but will definitely hedge with a few lineups. We’ve seen Dallas not show up(Houston) recently and strange things can happen in the NFL especially on a short week.
Captain/Flex
Ceedee Lamb $17,100/$11,400
Ceedee finally looks like a WR1 and is demanding the opportunity share of one. He has a 29% target share has been targeted on 29% of his routes and is averaging 2.59 yards per route run. The Titans have allowed the 2nd most TDs to opposing WRs this season.
Derrick Henry $16,200/$10,800
Henry is the Titans entire offense. He leads the league in rushing attempts and has the 2nd most rushing yards. He’s averaged 117 rushing yards over his last three games. He has a rushing TD in all three of those games.
Michael Gallup $10,500/$7,000
Gallup could be a sneaky captain in larger fields. He has at least six targets in four of his last five games. He has three TDs in his last four games. The Titans have given up the 2nd most TDs to opposing WRs.
Ezekiel Elliott $13,200/$8,800
Zeke could see a significant workload if Pollard doesn’t play or is limited. The Titans secondary is awful so I’m leaning towards the pass catchers for a little more upside. That being said I’m fine with him at captain in small field single entries especially paired with the Dallas defense. Even with Pollard, Zeke has at least 15 carries in six straight games scoring a TD in each of them.
The Rest
Dak Prescott $10,600
I expect Dak to be a popular captain after his explosion last week. I’m leaning toward trying to get the bulk of his production in one of the receiving options. Also thinking they get out to a lead and Dak is leaned on less in the 2nd half. He’s thrown three TDs in three of his last four games.
Tony Pollard $9,200
I worry Pollard won’t play or even more that they’ll baby him in a game they should easily win. There would have to be some reliable news that he’s healthy for me to trust him in this one.
Malik Willis $8,600
Willis has not looked good as a starter. There’s nothing that points towards him being a great play other than this Dallas defense has given up a ton through the air. Dallas has allowed the most passing TDs over the last four weeks. Willis should have plenty of opportunities especially in garbage time to accumulate some points.
Dalton Schultz $6,600
Schultz has only four targets in back to back games. He still has the 2nd most targets on the team. The Titans have allowed the 2nd most receptions and 13.3 yards per reception over the last four weeks.
Treylon Burks $5,400
Robert Woods $5,000
Nick Westbrook Ikhine $4,600
You are throwing a dart with any of these Titans WRs. Willis threw 23 passes last week which was a season high so there’s not a lot to go around. Burks would be my preferred option. He has the most upside and best chance at a TD. Westbrook Ikhine would be 2nd and has some big play upside averaging 16.4 yards per reception. You’re hoping for a couple catches with Woods.
Noah Brown $5,200
Noah Brown was only targeted twice after catching six balls and scoring twice in Week 15. He also had 85 yards the week before and has played 75% of snaps in each of the last two games. Any of these WRs are viable against this Titans defense.
Chig Okonkwo $4,800
Just like the other Titans options, Okonkwo’s upside is capped with Willis under center. He only had 2 targets last week but had at least five targets in eachbof his previous four games. He’s one of the Titans best playmakers so they’ll design plays to fit the ball in his hands. He’s averaging 14.8 yards per reception.
TY Hilton $4,400
Hilton only played 16% of the snaps. He’ll see an increase in snaps as he gets more accustomed to the playbook. He’ll still only be a part time downfield option for them. He had a 52 yard catch on his only target last week. Your hoping for a long bomb with him.
Austin Hooper $3,600
Hooper doesn’t offer much upside but will catch a few balls. He’s a safe bet to get a couple of catches and if he happened to score a TD he’d be a great play at his salary.
Hassan Haskins $3,000
If Henry is out and they want to keep him fresh for next week’s important matchup, Haskins will get some extra work. He has been involved a bit in the passing game catching two balls in back to back games. He’d likely get at least 10 touches in this one
Julius Chestnut $2,100
Chestnut will likely split time with Haskins and could see more of the early down work. They’ll likely be playing from behind which leans in favor of Haskins but Chestnut should at least get some work at a cheap price tag.
Malik Davis $200
If Pollard can’t go Davis will be a legitimate play at a ridiculously cheap price. If Pollard is out and the Cowboys get up he could have the backfield all to himself late in the game.
Jake Ferguson $2,400
Peyton Hendershot $600
Very thin plays, you’re hoping for one catch for a TD.
