49ers vs Seahawks Draftkings Showdown

Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Injuries to Monitor

Deebo Samuel injured his MCL nad ankle and could possibly miss the rest of the season.

Brock Purdy has an oblique injury but should be able to play. Its worth monitoring to make sure he won’t have any setbacks.

Ken Walker is dealing with an ankle injury and has been practicing and it seems he could play.

Overview

The San Francisco 49ers head to Seattle to face the Seahawks. The 49ers have looked impressive even with a 3rd string QB. They’ve won six games in a row and have scored over 30 points in three of their last four games. The Seahawks have lost two of their last three and are on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs go.

I don’t expect this game to be very high scoring but I do believe there will be points scored and plenty of viable options on both sides. Deebo being out condenses the 49ers side and makes it a bit easier. The Seattle side is even more condensed. I will definitely be heavier on the 49ers side. McCaffrey will be mine and the fields highest owned. I do think you van play Jordan Mason with him and it will be a little different. I prefer Kittle over Aiyuk but like both. I won’t have McCaffrey, Kittle and Aiyuk all in the same lineup. I’ll mix in Purdy and two of them. As for the Seahawks I love DK and Lockett but probably won’t have them together in many lineups. They’ve both produced in many games but I’m afraid the upside could be capped for both of them to get there. Most lineups will be Geno and one of them but will pair them both in a couple just in case I’m wrong.

Captain/Flex

Christian McCaffrey $17,100/$11,400
Since Week 8(his 1st full week with the the 49ers) McCaffrey has a 30% target share. Over that span he has the 3rd most targets, 2nd most receptions and most receiving yards among RBs. With Deebo out he’ll be even more of a focus of the offense.

DK Metcalf $15,000/$10,000
Over his last three games, Metcalf has averaged 11 targets, 8 receptions and 96 yards. He also has two TDs over that span. He actually has the safer floor of the Seattle receivers. Hebhas a 30% target share over hisblast six games.

Tyler Lockett $15,300/$10,200
Lockett has been on fire scoring a TD in six straight games. He’s averaged over 16 DraftKings points this year despite two games with 5.8 points and 3.7 points. He has a 24% target share this year.

George Kittle $12,000/$8,000
I like Kittle as a salary savings lower owned captain in larger fields. He hasn’t been great the last three games failing to eclipse 30 yards. This is the story of Kittle’s career. A bunch of duds then a blow up game like his 2 TD game in Week 11. Seattle is the 2nd worst team against the TE.

Week 1 targets

The Rest

Geno Smith $10,600
Geno has surprised everyone with how good he’s been but even more so with how consistent he’s been. He’s thrown multiple TDs in all but two games this year. I think he’s worth a play but worried about his upside against this defense.

Fantasy football

Brock Purdy $9,600
Purdy has looked good over the last two weeks. He’s thrown multiple TDs in both games and even had a rushing TD. If he’s healthy, he’s definitely in play for a one game slate with the weapons that surround him.

Brandon Aiyuk $8,800
Aiyuk leads the team in receiving yards and TDs. He has at least five receptions in six of his last eight games. He’s also scored six TDs over that span. Deebobis gone so he’ll see more targets.

Josh Johnson $9,000
In one start last year, Johnson threw for 304 yards and 2 TDs. He started three games in 2018 and averaged 131.6 yards and threw 2 total TDs in those games. This offense has playmakers and creates easy throws to get the ball in their hands. He’s a serviceable play if Purdy can’t go.

Ken Walker $7,600
Walker looks like he’ll play. I’ll have a few sprinkles because I think a lot of people will be scared off of him and he’ll be low owned. With that being said I’m very worried about his production and ability to play through the whole game.

Travis Homer $7,000
Despite getting the start and the bulk of the work last week, Homer wasn’t productive. He averaged 2.9 yards a carry.  He’ll be involved but the upside is definitely capped especially against this tough defense.

Marquise Goodwin $6,400
Goodwin had his best game of the season last week with season highs in targets, receptions and yards. The price isn’t great but he has a safer role than a lot of the other ancillary pieces of this game.

Jordan Mason $4,800
Mason has carved out a roll in this offense with Mitchell gone. He has 19 carries over the last two weeks and at least 50 yards in those games. Seattle has allowed the 2nd most rushing yards over the last six weeks.

Noah Fant $4,400
Fant was held to zero catches last week despite having at least three catches in each of his previous four games. He averaged 51.5 yards in those games. Anyone outside of Lockett or DK is a volatile option but he will see some targets.

Jauan Jennings $3,600
Jennings has been irrelevant the last two weeks after a season high six catches and a TD in Week 12. He has the 2nd most air yards on the team over the last four weeks.

Kyle Juszcyk $3,000
Juszcyk has at least two receptions in each of his last six games. His upside is basically three catches for 30 yards but will at least get a couple catches at a cheap salary.

Will Dissly $2,400
Basically Juszcyk with less big play upside. You’re hoping for a couple of catches.

Tony Jones Jr $2,000
Even with the injuries to the Seahawks backfield,  Jones only had two touches last week. If Dallas and Walker are out again he could get some work but probably not much against this good San Fran defense.

Ray Ray McCloud $1,200
McCloud hasn’t really been involved recently but is electric with the ball in his hands. With Deebo out he could have a few screens or designed plays to get him in space.
