Week 14 Draftkings Cash Game Preview
Cash games take a bit of a different approach. We only need to finish in the top half of finishing positions. The goal is to get the safest floor with a bit of upside for the cheapest price. Ownership is an afterthought. I tend to look for the most guaranteed touches from the RBs and WR. A floor is just as important as a players upside in cash. If there’s value on the slate at WR I’ll play the top RBs otherwise I’m looking for the most touches in the mid range. Cash games are a great way to build your bankroll and stay profitable long term.
I will say that you should ALWAYS enter your cash lineups into a GPP. Believe me it is not fun coming 1st in a double up and winning the same amount as the person who came in 2,000th when you would’ve won a GPP.
Not gonna lie this is an ugly week for cash, there’s not a ton of “safe” plays.
QB
Dak Prescott $6,700
Dak is averaging 21.6 DraftKings points per game. He’s thrown multiple TDs in eight of his eleven games. Washington has allowed the 3rd most passing yards per game.
Taysom Hill $5,600
Taysom has averaged over 60 yards rushing in games that he’s started. Since the beginning of last season, Hill is averaging 5.6 yards per carry and has 11 rushing TDs. The Jets have allowed the most rushing TDs this season and 3rd most rushing yards per game.
Cam Newton $5,400
Joe Brady was fired because the Panthers didn’t run enough. Cam will have plenty of opportunities to rectify that this week. He’s scored a rushing TD in each of his last three games. He’s also thrown three TDs over that span. Atlanta has allowed the 4th most passing yards per game.
RB
Austin Ekeler $8,300
Ekeler has a 17% target share. With no Allen and possibly Williams, Ekeler could lead the team in targets. He’s had at least five receptions in each of his last three games scoring six total TDs over that span. The Giants are bottom eight in rushing yards per game allowed.
Alvin Kamara $7,900
While Kamara wont get a ton of targets from Taysom, he will have plenty of carries with Ingram out. The Jets allow 35.62 fantasy points per game to RBs which is most in the league by over five points.
Antonio Gibson $6,000
Gibson has averaged 23.75 carries over the last four games. He has 13 targets in the last two games. He’s finally being used correctly. Dallas has allowed the 7th most rushing yards per game over the last three weeks.
Javonte Williams $5,900
This is assuming Gordon is out. If he plays I wouldn’t use Williams in cash. Javonte has forced the 2nd most missed tackles in the league behind only Jonathan Taylor on only 140 carries. He’s averaged just over 18 touches in his last four games. He’s averaging 112 yards from scrimmage over that span. Detroit has allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to RBs.
Jeff Wilson $4,400
This is assuming Deebo is out. Wilson did receive 19 carries in week 11 when Mitchell was out. He’s a cheaper option that will receive touches and goal line work if Deebo is out.
WR
Chris Godwin $7,100
Godwin had 17 targets and 15 receptions last week. He likely won’t see that many targets again but in a game with a game total of 54 points and a team implied total over 28, he’ll see plenty of opportunities against a team susceptible to the slot.
DJ Moore $6,200
With a 28% target share, Moore is averaging 9.3 targets a game with no less than seven targets in any game. He’s 7th in total air yards. Atlanta has allowed the 2nd most receiving TDs per game.
Hunter Renfrow $6,100
Renfrow has 19 targets and 17 receptions in his last two games. He’s averaged 118 yards in those games. He has seven games with six or more catches. The Chiefs are bottom eight in yards per catch allowed.
Mike Williams $6,000
It’s very simple if Williams is cleared to play he is the best points per dollar play on the slate with no Keenan Allen.
Jamison Crowder $4,700
Elijah Moore is banged up and if he plays will likely be covered by Lattimore. The Saints are terrible against slot WRs and are 2nd worst against WRs over the last six weeks.
If Mike Williams is out you can play Jaylen Guyton or Josh Palmer. With no sample size it’s hard to say who the better play is but Guyton has the big play upside while Palmer likely has more target volume.
TE
Ricky Seals Jones $3,600
In the three games prior to injury, Ricky saw no less than six targets and averaged 50 receiving yards. Whether it’s Seals Jones or Logan Thomas Washington targets the TE position giving Ricky a safe floor for cash games.
Austin Hooper $3,400
Bryant and Njoku are out leaving Hooper as the only TE option against Baltimore who has allowed the 4th most points per game to TEs.
DEF
CAR $2,800
NYJ $2,500
