Showdown Captain mode is a DraftKings tournament where you have $50,000 to create a lineup using 6 players from a standalone single game. One of those players will be your captain. The captain costs 1.5 times their salary and will accumulate 1.5 times the points. As with every slate, GAME THEORY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Even more so in Showdown, you want your lineup to tell a story of how the game will go. There are a lot of options based on how you see the game going but ALWAYS make sure there’s correlation between your players.

Injuries to Monitor
Aaron Rodgers has been dealing with a thumb injury and has been limited at practice for weeks but continues to play.
Randall Cobb has been designated to return from IR and could be active for this game.
Overview
The Titans head to Green Bay to face the Packers in this one. The Titans have won three of their last four and have scored 17 points in three straight games. The Packers are coming off an emotional overtime win in Dallas and it could be a letdown spot for them on a short week.
I expect Derrick Henry and Christian Watson to be the starting point for most lineups and I can’t really disagree with that reasoning. I’ll personally be staying away from Watson at Captain. I think pairing Tannehill and Henry together will be slightly different. I’ll also have Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon paired together in some lineups. Keep an eye in Randall Cobb’s status as he could be back for this one.
Captain/Flex
Derrick Henry $17,400/$11,600
Last week, Henry had his worst week since Week 2 but still had 19 carries. He has the most rushing attempts and 2nd most rushing yards in the NFL. The Packers have allowed over five yards per carry this season.
Aaron Jones $16,800/$11,200
Jones has four games with 15 or more carries this season. He has over 100 rushing yards in all of them. Could someone tell the Packers that!!! He’s averaging 3.4 receptions per game and the Titans have allowed the 3rd most receptions and receiving TDs to RBs this season.
Allen Lazard $12,900/$8,600
Lazard has a TD in more than half of his games. He has a 20% target share and has at least four receptions in six of his nine games. He has the 6th most red zone targets this year and is averagingover 14 yards per reception. I like him at captain over Watson who will likely be the highest owned player/captain on the slate.
The Rest
Aaron Rodgers $10,400
Rodgers threw for his first three TD game of the season last week. He’s yet to pass for 300 yards this season so he’s not really a captain option. That being said he’s a productive QB on a one game slate going against a Titans defense
Ryan Tannehill $9,600
He should be past the ankle injury and is coming off one of his best games of the year. He has 19 or more DraftKings points in three of his seven games. He also offers enough in the rushing game to be one of the more viable plays on the slate.
Christian Watson $7,400
After last week, Watson will be very popular. I won’t use him at captain except for maybe some very small field contests. He is a big play waiting to happen and averages 13.9 yards per reception. I don’t expect 3 TDs but he can pay off on just a few catches.
Robert Woods $6,800
Woods has basically been used like a TE recently. He’s failed to record more than three receptions since Week 5. He lacks any significant upside but is utilized enough to be usable on a one game slate.
AJ Dillon $6,600
Dillon has been inefficient but is still seeing plenty of work. He’s had double digit carries in four of his last five games.
Similar to Woods, he lacks the upside but unlike Woods could score a TD and will touch the ball at least ten times.
Nick Westbrook Ikhine $6,200
Westbrook Ikhine had by far his best game last week catching five balls on eight targets. He had 119 yards and two TDs with the bulk of his production coming on a flee flicker. Its unlikely he repeats that stat line but is averaging 21 yards per reception.
Robert Tonyan $5,800
Tonyan only had one target last week after being pretty heavily involved for four weeks. He averaged 5.25 catches in his previous four games. The Titans allow 12 yards per reception to the TE.
Treylon Burks $5,200
In his first action since Week 4, Burks played 56% of snaps and turned six targets into three catches. It’s hard to rely on anyone from the Titans passing game but Burks is the most talented of the bunch.
Sammy Watkins $4,800
Watkins had three catches last week which was his most since Week two. He hasnt been very involved and for the hopes of him having a few catches or catching a TD I’d rather take a shot on someone cheaper.
Austin Hooper $4,600
Hooper had a season high seven targets and five receptions last week. Hes had yardage totals of 41, 34 and 56 in three of his last four games. He’s worth a stab since the cheap plays on the slate are pretty thin. I’ll likely only sprinkle him in a couple lineups with Tannehill.
Dontrell Hilliard $3,200
Hilliard has a few games where he’s been productive. He gets most of his production in the passing game where all three of his TDs have come through the air. He’ll get a couple carries and if the Titans are playing from behind will see some extra work.
Chig Okonkwo $2,600
Okonkwo is a part time player who will likely see two or three targets. He’s a big play threat averaging 44.5 yards per reception over his last two games.
Josiah Deguara $1,800
Deguara plays sparingly and is really only relied upon when the other pass catchers are injured. He could catch a pass or two and is a longshot for a TD.
Samori Toure $1,200
Toure was not targeted last week despite seeing an uptick in targets the previous two weeks. He averaged 23.7 yards per reception in those games. He’s likely 4th in the WR pecking order but could catch a long pass at a cheap salary.
Randall Cobb $200
Cobb has been activated off of IR and could play. It’s unknown how involved he’ll be but is definitely worth playing at his ridiculously low salary.
