Mario’s Optimal DraftKings DFS Lineup: Week 11
12 game Sunday Slate
QB Tyrod Taylor @ Tennessee Titans
$5000
BOOM target: 15.0 pts
We start off this week with a low salary, but high ceiling play at QB. Tyrod Taylor heads into Tennessee to face their 27th ranked defense vs QBs. Tyrod was injured most of the season, but we know he can sling the ball. The matchup looks even more appealing if the Titans get out to a lead, forcing Houston to pass. Excluding last week in his first game back from injury vs the Dolphins, Taylor surpassed his BOOM target in the first two games of the season, despite leaving the Week 2 contest early. Taylor also has a solid rushing floor, and should have no problem reaching 15.0 pts this week.
RB Christian McCaffrey vs Washington Football Team
$8900
BOOM target: 26.7 pts
In his first game back in the starting lineup since being injured in Week 3, CMC showed us all why he’s the unanimous fantasy RB1. In only 52% of snap share, he compiled 23 touches for 161 total yards, including a whopping 10 receptions. Without even finding the endzone, CMC put up 26.2 fantasy points. This week he faces a WFT defense that played well last week vs the Bucs, but showed nothing for offenses to fear in any week prior to that. Cam is back in the picture for Carolina, and that only increases CMC’s value. Start him with confidence.
RB James Conner @ Seattle Seahawks
$6100
BOOM target: 18.3 pts
Chase Edmonds got placed on IR, and Conner is now the lead back in a fantastic matchup vs a Seattle defense that is ranked 31st in fantasy points given up to RBs. Arizona was shocked by Carolina last week with Colt McCoy looking inept, and Conner was limited to only 13 touches. With Kyler likely back in the starting lineup this week, Conner should have more room to run, and we can expect at least 20 touches. Seattle just let Jones and Dillon run all over them last week, and there’s no reason Conner can’t do the same.
WR Davante Adams @ Minnesota Vikings
$8400
BOOM target: 25.2 pts
There are certain teams that players just always play well against. Adams plays well vs several teams, but it is particularly true against the Vikings. Adams is a Viking killer, and this season they are 26th in fantasy points given up to WRs. This is a recipe for disaster. In his last 6 games vs Minnesota, Adams has 54 receptions on 73 targets, for 564 yards and 7 TDs. That averages out to 9 receptions, 62 yards, and just over 1 TD, for 21.2 fantasy points. As bad as the Vikings pass defense is this season, I think Adams makes up those 4 points to his BOOM target.
WR Brandin Cooks @ Tennessee Titans
$6000
BOOM target: 18.0 pts
Cooks is the only stack I have this week, pairing him with his QB Tyrod Taylor. With Taylor under center, Cooks averages a 30% target share. I think he surpasses his BOOM target this week for many of the same reasons that I stated above with starting Tyrod. The Titans are dead last in the league in points given up to WRs, and Cooks will exploit that matchup.
WR Michael Gallup @ Kansas City Chiefs
$4200
BOOM target: 12.6 pts
I already had Gallup in my lineup prior to the news of Amari Cooper being ruled out with COVID, so now this matchup and this price looks even better than before. In his first game back last week, Gallup received 5 targets from Dak Prescott, turning them into 3 catches for 42 yards. Expect a much bigger workload this week in Kansas City in a likely shootout, and with Gallup being thrust into the starting lineup opposite of Lamb.
TE CJ Uzomah @ Las Vegas Raiders
$3500
BOOM target: 10.5 pts
I was forced to go low salary in the TE spot this week, but I’m looking forward to this matchup. The Raiders have played pretty well vs WRs this season, but they are ranked 30th vs TEs in fantasy points against. The Raiders’ weakness has been in the middle of the field, so Tyler Boyd would also be a good play this week if you can fit him in your lineup.
FLEX RB David Montgomery vs Baltimore Ravens
$5500
BOOM target: 16.5 pts
We all expected Montgomery to get eased back into the lineup after 5 weeks out with injury, but he was thrust back into the rotation at an 85% snap share. He received 15 total touches for 80 yards vs a stingy Steelers defense. This week he has a far more favorable matchup vs a Ravens team that is ranked 22nd in points given up to RBs. Monty should have no trouble hitting his BOOM target this week, even if he isn’t able to find the endzone.
D/ST Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans
$2000
BOOM target: 6.0 pts
Houston in this slot is purely a punt play. However, the Titans are not at full strength. Henry, Julio, and now Henry’s backup McNichols are all out with injury. The Texans defense may come away with a turnover or two, and justify this pick.
