11 game Sunday Slate
QB Jordan Love @ Kansas City Chiefs
$4400
BOOM target: 13.2pts
Love may be chalk this week, but I don’t care. Aside from the fact that it is extremely rare to find a STARTING QB under $5000, Love has a fantastic matchup against a poor Chiefs defense. The Packers will most likely have to throw the majority of the time to keep up with Mahomes and the Chiefs, and there are plenty of fantasy points to be had for Love.
RB Aaron Jones @ Kansas City Chiefs
$7200
BOOM target: 21.6pts
I don’t usually like to stack a RB with a QB, but with Love being young and inexperienced, I’m banking for a handful of check down throws when Love doesn’t see anything down the field. Outside of the increased passing game volume, Jones still retains his high ceiling rushing value vs a bad Chiefs defense. Expect Jones to touch the ball a great deal this Sunday.
RB Ezekiel Elliott vs Denver Broncos
$7000
BOOM target: 21.0pts
Elliott and the Cowboys face a Denver defense that just traded away their best player to the Rams. La’el Collins is back from suspension/punishment, and will resume his RT role next to Zack Martin on the right side of the line that the departure of Von Miller just vacated. Zeke has scored at least 17.7 fantasy points in the last 5 games that Dak has played. Dak is back from injury, and I think Elliott has a workhorse day in a game that Dallas is heavily favored.
WR Tyreek Hill vs Green Bay Packers
$7900
BOOM target: 23.7pts
The last 2 times that I have featured Hill in my lineup, he has disappointed. 3rd time’s the charm, right? At least I hope so. Eric Bienemy moves Tyreek all over the formation, and is likely to do so this week to keep him away from Jaire Alexander, who hasn’t been his usual All-Pro self anyway. Hill led the team in targets and catches last week, and Mahomes will continue to look his way.
WR Brandin Cooks @ Miami Dolphins
$6100
BOOM target: 18.3pts
Brandin Cooks looked fantastic in the short sample we saw of him catching passes from Tyrod Taylor. Well, Tyrod is back this week to face a defense that is ranked 30th this season in fantasy points given up to WRs. The Dolphins have no running game to speak of, so expect over 30 pass attempts from each QB in this game, and at least 25% of those targets going Cooks’ way.
WR Rashod Bateman vs Minnesota Vikings
$4000
BOOM target: 12.0pts
I just have a gut feeling that the Ravens used the bye week to integrate Bateman more into the offensive scheme. He has a unique skill set, and comes back to a fantastic matchup vs a Vikings secondary that was 16 yards short of giving up three 100 yard WRs last week vs Dallas, all from the arm of the backup QB. I should probably have more Ravens in my lineup now that I think about it.
TE Travis Kelce vs Green Bay Packers
$7000
BOOM target: 21.0pts
Travis Kelce is coming off of his worst fantasy day of the season last week, and I feel a breakout game coming. The Chiefs have been taking criticism, namely Mahomes for his decision making and interceptions. I can see Kelce and the entire Chiefs offense taking out their frustrations on the Green Bay defense this week, and I’m double-stacking Kelce with Tyreek this week.
FLEX WR Gabriel Davis @ Jacksonville Jaguars
$3500
BOOM target: 10.5pts
Davis caught 4 passes for 29 yards and a TD last week, and I can see him getting around the same kind of production this week vs a very poor Jags D. Beasley is nursing a rib injury, and even if he plays, Davis should be in line to take snaps and touches from him.
D/ST 49ers vs Arizona Cardinals
$2800
BOOM target: 8.4pts
The 49ers are coming off of a big win in Chicago last week, and this week wouldn’t be considered an ideal matchup. The Cardinals are coming off of a bye, but I’m ranking the 49ers D a bit higher due to the myriad injuries the Cardinals are facing. Kyler has not practiced with a calf injury, and Colt McCoy looks poised to get the start. Hopkins is still nursing the hamstring injury, as well as a chest injury for Edmonds. Plus, AJ Green is out with Covid. They are banged up, and I think the 49ers capitalize.
