QB Ryan Tannehill vs Kansas City Chiefs
$6400
BOOM target: 19.2 pts
I think that Derrick Henry is going to be chalk this week against a Chiefs defense giving up the 5th most rushing yards per game in 2021. Let’s take it the other way and go with a passing game stack for Tennessee. Everyone knows the Titans’ offense runs through Henry, so expect the Chiefs to sell out to try and stop the run. This should open up the play action game for Tannehill, which is the style of play in which he thrives. Tannehill has only hit the 300 yard bonus once this season, and that was against the Seahawks. It should make you feel better that the Chiefs are even worse in pass defense. The game is one of the highest projected totals of the weekend, and we can expect the 2 teams to trade blows back and forth.
RB Darrell Henderson Jr. vs Detroit Lions
$6600
BOOM target: 19.8 pts
DraftKings must have hit a glitch in the matrix pricing Henderson this week, who finished as RB5 in Week 6 with 24.7 fantasy points. Now he gets the absolute worst defense in the league at home. With Sony Michel hobbled, Henderson looks to eclipse 90% of the RB touches for the second week in a row. Volume is king, and Henderson should see plenty of it in a game where the Rams will most likely pull far ahead on the scoreboard, and run the ball to close out the game.
RB D’Andre Swift @ Los Angeles Rams
$6000
BOOM target: 18.0 pts
Swift is my bring back stack in the DET/LAR game. The 2nd year back put up 17.7 fantasy points last week in a blowout loss, with 15 of those points coming in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. Garbage points are still points, and Swift should see quite a bit of passing game work. He has a safe floor, catching at least 4 passes in every game this season, and seeing less than 7 targets just once.
WR Tyreek Hill @ Tennessee Titans
$8600
BOOM target: 25.8 pts
I debated between Hill and Kelce for my bring back stack in this game, and ultimately chose Hill. The Titans are surrendering 276 passing yards per game, a mark that Mahomes should exceed before the start of the 4th quarter. Cheetah was “limited” by a sore quad last week, and still put up a 9/76/1 stat line good enough for 22.6 fantasy points. We fire him up here again vs the 23rd ranked pass defense in a probable shootout.
WR AJ Brown vs Kansas City Chiefs
$6300
BOOM target: 18.9 pts
Brown rounds out the Titans stack with Tannehill this week after putting up his best game of the season, by far, last week vs Buffalo. DraftKings has not adjusted his price to match the production that is surely coming, and we buy the dip as long as it’s there. The Chiefs boast the 7th worst passing defense in the league, and will leave the secondary even more susceptible to attack in their efforts to slow down Derrick Henry. Brown has high upside in the game, and should have no problem hitting his BOOM target.
WR Hunter Renfrow vs Philadelphia Eagles
$4800
BOOM target: 14.4 pts
We round out the WR stable this week with a player that has been one of the most consistent in all of fantasy football this season. In a tough game at Denver after the departure of Jon Gruden as head coach, Renfrow put up only 6.6 fantasy points, the first time he failed to reach double digits all season. This week should be a bounceback game at home vs the Eagles, who have the 10th best pass defense, but have proven susceptible to slot WRs in the middle of the field. Slay will likely be occupied shadowing Ruggs, and the Eagles would be wise to double Waller. That will open up targets for Renfrow, and I expect him to get back on track.
TE Dallas Goedert @ Las Vegas Raiders
$4600
BOOM target: 13.8 pts
Goedert is severely underpriced as the newly bonafide TE1 in Philly, and is my bring back stack for the PHI/LV game. Ertz was traded to the Cardinals last week, leaving Goedert as the only experienced TE on the roster. Coupled with the fact that the Raiders are giving up the most PPG to TEs this season sets up the potential for a huge day from Goedert.
FLEX Mecole Hardman @ Tennessee Titans
$4300
BOOM target: 12.9 pts
I don’t usually do this, but I’m going to fire up a double stack of Chiefs WRs vs the 32nd ranked passing defense of the Titans. In a game where Mahomes could possibly throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs, this opportunity is just too good to pass up. Hardman’s fantasy performance this season has been subpar, but he is 2 weeks removed from his best game of the season vs Buffalo where he caught a season high 9 passes on a season high 12 targets. I expect a similar game script this week.
D/ST New York Jets @ New England Patriots
$2400
BOOM target: 7.2 pts
With a little salary left, we can afford to spend up slightly and go with a Jets defense against the Patriots, who give up the most fantasy points to opposing defenses this season at a 10.7 PPG average. Despite the ineptitude of the offense, the Jets defense is better than people think. Mac Jones is not the most mobile QB in the world, and the Jets have an above average defensive line that has the potential for a few sacks, and hopefully a forced fumble or a return for TD.
