Mario’s Optimal DraftKings DFS Lineup: Week 8
12 game Sunday Slate
QB Teddy Bridgewater vs Washington Football Team
$5400
BOOM target: 16.2pts
Bridgewater has one of the safest floors in all of DFS, and is facing a WFT team that is terrible on defense, especially against the pass. Teddy 2 gloves needs just 16.2 pts to hit his BOOM target, and should have no problems reaching that feat with Jerry Jeudy back in the fold on the other side of Courtland Sutton.
RB Najee Harris @ Cleveland Browns
$7500
BOOM target: 22.5pts
The rookie RB out of Alabama is a volume machine, and is one of the NFL leaders in touches. He faces a defense in Cleveland that last week held the Broncos to only 14 points, but both TDs were scored by the RBs in the passing game. Aside from the good matchup, the sheer volume that Harris receives makes him a great play in lineups this week. Harris has hit this week’s BOOM target in 3 of the last 4 games.
RB D’Andre Swift vs Philadelphia Eagles
$7100
BOOM target: 21.3pts
I seem to find myself adding Swift to my lineup on a weekly basis, and for good reason. Swift basically is a RB and a WR lumped into one player. He leads all RBs in targets and receptions, and the Lions are constantly playing from behind, giving Swift more opportunities to rack up points in the receiving department. A home game vs the Eagles is a great matchup. A normal workload plus a TD should get Swift over his BOOM target.
WR Chris Godwin @ New Orleans Saints
$6400
BOOM target: 19.2pts
After a slow few weeks in single digit fantasy scoring, Godwin exploded last week for 28.1pts, but his salary this week doesn’t reflect that. This week is shaping up for another big day. Antonio Brown has already been ruled out, and Marshon Lattimore is expected to shadow Mike Evans. Expect double digit targets for Godwin, and hope for a repeat performance of last week.
WR Brandin Cooks vs Los Angeles Rams
$5700
BOOM target: 17.1pts
Cooks will benefit from the probable return of Tyrod Taylor this week. In 3 games with Taylor this season, Cooks scored 21.2, 22.8, and 23.7 points. As long as they resume the same connection, Cooks should have no problem delivering on his BOOM target in a game where the Texans will most likely have to be playing catchup vs the red hot Rams.
WR Emmanuel Sanders vs Miami Dolphins
$5400
BOOM target: 16.2pts
Sanders started the season slow, but since Week 2 vs these same Dolphins, has created quite a rapport with QB Josh Allen. Since Week 3, Sanders is averaging 18.5 PPG, and has two 2 TD games in that span. His salary does not justify his production, and he should have no problem hitting his BOOM target in another likely blow out similar to Week 2.
TE Dan Arnold @ Seattle Seahawks
$2800
BOOM target: 8.4pts
This is more of a punt here, banking on a TD from Lawrence to Arnold vs a Seattle defense that has proven to be susceptible to the pass. Lawrence has been getting better and better week to week, and the targets that used to go to the now injured DJ Chark need to be redistributed elsewhere. Arnold has been with the Jags going on 4 weeks now, and we are hoping that familiarity turns into points.
FLEX RB Joe Mixon @ New York Jets
$6900
BOOM target: 20.7pts
I have 3 RBs in my lineup this week. Joe Mixon vs the Jets at only $6900 is a must play. The Jets are the worst team in the league against the run. Mixon should get 20+ carries and a TD or 2 in a game they should lead comfortably and rely on the run in the 2nd half to put it away.
D/ST Chicago Bears vs San Francisco 49ers
$2700
BOOM target: 8.1pts
I have some salary to spend up a little here, and I choose a Bears defense that is 2nd in the league in sacks. Sacks could lead to turnovers, and that’s what I’m putting my faith in this week.
