Mario’s DraftKings DFS Optimal Lineup: Week 4

13 game Sunday Slate

QB Jalen Hurts vs Kansas City Chiefs

Week 4 DraftKings lineup

Redraft trade calculator

$6,900

BOOM target: 20.7 pts

Philly is coming off of a blowout loss at Dallas, but even in a 20 point loss where the offense struggled mightily and turned the ball over twice, Hurts still managed 361 total yards and 2 TDs. Garbage time points still count, and with a date with the high flying offense of the Chiefs, Hurts very well may fall into the same situation. The Chiefs are dead last in fantasy points given up to QBs. This is a fantastic matchup for Hurts, and I’m banking on him shining this weekend.

RB Derrick Henry @ New York Jets

Week 4 DraftKings lineup Derrick Henry fantasy value

$8,800

BOOM target: 26.4 pts

The King is coming off another 100 yard rushing performance, which has become the norm for him. As if Henry could be any more dangerous in fantasy, new OC Todd Downing has gotten him much more involved in the passing game than what he (or the rest of us for that matter) are accustomed to. The Jets are giving up 110 rushing yards per game this season, and will be without their best defensive player in Marcus Maye. With AJ Brown ruled OUT, and Julio Jones leaning towards being held out, expect a heavy dose of the run game. The Jets have yet to prove they can stop the run, so fire up King Henry with confidence this week.

RB Alvin Kamara vs New York Giants

Week 10 DraftKings alvin-kamara-week-12-1-rb-rankings

$8,400

BOOM target: 25.2 pts

After a slow start to the season, the Kamara we drafted in the top 5 of fantasy drafts finally showed up in a road game against the Patriots. The all-purpose back put up 118 total yards and a TD on 27 touches. He has terrific stand alone value in a plus matchup with the Giants’ defense that gave up 172 total yards, including 10 receptions to RBs last week vs Atlanta. Kamara should have plenty of room to run at home. Pencil him in for over 125 total yards and at least 1 TD this week.

Fantasy football

WR Corey Davis vs Tennessee Titans

$5,000

BOOM target: 15.0 pts

Corey Davis is the other side of the stack to Derrick Henry this week. Tennessee is in the bottom half of the NFL in passing yards allowed to opposing offenses. The Jets may be putrid on offense, but even the best player on a putrid offense has value. Davis played 94% of the snaps last week vs Denver, and saw double digit targets for the 2nd time in three games this season. The Jets should be playing from behind this game, and we can expect several garbage time yards and possibly a TD from Davis, reminiscent of week 1.

WR Terrace Marshall Jr. @ Dallas Cowboys

$4,000

BOOM target: 12.0 pts

On the surface, the Cowboys’ defense looks much improved, but a deeper dive will show you that they have given up the 2nd most passing yards this season. With CMC out with a hamstring injury, DJ Moore most likely shadowed by Trevon Diggs, and Robby Anderson struggling to perform up to this point this season, Marshall should see an uptick in opportunities. He’s a talented rookie who should win the matchup out of the slot against Jourdan Lewis. Darnold should find Marshall open for a couple of chunk plays against this poor pass defense.

WR Quez Watkins vs Kansas City Chiefs

$3,500

BOOM target: 10.5 pts

Watkins is the pass catcher I chose to stack with Hurts this week in a game where pass catchers should get tons of volume. The Chiefs are in the bottom third of the league in passing yards allowed, and were torched by Justin Herbert last week for 4 TDs. Watkins doesn’t get targeted as much as we would like to see, but he does lead the Eagles offense in average depth of target. Watkins is one big play away from paying off his salary this week.

TE Travis Kelce @ Philadelphia Eagles

travis-kelce-fantasy-football-buys-sells-week-1-te-rankings

$8,100

BOOM target: 24.3 pts

Kelce is far and away the fantasy TE1 on the season, leading the league in most categories. This week he takes on a defense that just got smoked by the likes of Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin on Monday night, giving up 8 receptions for 90 yards and 2 TDs between the two of them. Now they get to face the all-world Kelce catching passes from the arm of Mahomes. It should be a big day for Kelce on Sunday.

FLEX WR Donovan Peoples-Jones @ Minnesota Vikings

$3,200

BOOM target: 9.6 pts

OBJ is not fully acclimated to the offense coming back from injury, and Jarvis Landry is hobbled by a sore knee. Enter Donovan Peoples-Jones, who should see an uptick in volume in a likely shootout. Cousins and the Vikings have been lighting up the scoreboard, and the Browns will have to take to the air to match that. Jones should see plenty of opportunity, and just one big play will pay off his salary.

D/ST Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs

$2,100

BOOM target: 6.3 pts

Not that defensive stats usually matter vs the Patrick Mahomes led offense, but the Eagles are a top 10 unit vs the pass this season. This is a punt on defense, but I’m banking that the dominant interior defensive line led by Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave can generate some pressure and get some sacks or force a turnover or two.
