About Yards Per Fantasy
We’re striving for greatness here at Yards Per Fantasy and we want the same from you!
Our mission is to bring fantasy football fans closer together. We believe fantasy football is more than a game—it’s about the people. We want to give players of all experience a place where they can learn about strategy and player value, while providing an avenue to connect with each other and discuss the game we all love so much.
Yards Per aspires to be different from your typical fantasy football website. Our goal every day is to be creative and unique in the ways we deliver our content, tools, and advice.
Open Positions
Writer
- You do not need any formal published writing experience or education.
- Our writers are expected to follow our writing style guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11h3UOzY9b8ESVJpVkp6ybs-6iqVhLrihbddxtI4GrsY
- There is no set requirement for how often you publish, however it is preferred you write at least one article per week between the months of August-January and at least one or two per month during the offseason (February-July). Of course we encourage you to write as often as you’d like. The more content, the better.
- Creativity is highly encouraged. There are so many fantasy articles available for reading, the best way to stand out is to be unique. Here being different is a very good thing!

- Then, Please submit a brief writing sample. Your task is to pick any relevant fantasy topic and write a 400-650 word article. Submissions can be emailed to admin@yardsperfantasy.com.
- Incorporate advanced metrics and analytics data into your submission, if you are comfortable doing so. A great source for this is PlayerProfiler.com.

Video Analyst
- You will create entertaining and informative videos about relevant fantasy football topics.
- The length of your videos is completely up to you.
- Just understand Quality > length. A 90-second clip packed with content is much more effective than a 10 minute video with a bunch of filler mush.
- Creativity is key. We want to stand out, so being different is good! Let’s make it fun!
- Remember, you’re an entertainer as much as you are an analyst. Provide great content, but keep your viewers engaged and entertain. We want them to come back for more.

Stats Researcher
- We ask our researchers to submit several interesting stats per week to be put into a social media post. This helps us engage with the fantasy football community and grow our following.
- The goal is to get six per week. Four about something current/relevant to right now, at least one analytics-based, and one historic.
- You will submit them to Alex Johnson via email
- You will be credited for your research in every Tweet/post that uses a nugget you submitted.
- As a stats researcher, you will also work closely with our writers. Our writers will use you as a valuable resource when needing statistical research done in preparation for an article.
- It is incredibly important that all stats you provide are 100% accurate.

- As part of the position, we ask our researcher to submit several interesting stats per week to be put into a social media post. This helps us engage with the fantasy football community and grow our following. Therefore, as the final step in our application process, we would like you to submit an example of this. Your task is to research any relevant topic of your choosing and provide a few statistical “nuggets” as if you were submitting a Tweet for user engagement. Please include your source of reference(s).
